kinda what I was thinking.
I think I got to the Moon, though I'm not sure...
(From my DJ)
Meh, I just have to keep on practising. :/Quote:
I found myself standing in the middle of my room. Everything was hazy so I yelled out “skaidrība” - “clarity” in Latvian, and the dream started to become clearer. I remembered my main goal – I wanted to make a door that lead to the Moon (I had wanted to try going there for this whole week), and maybe speak to someone from the shared dreaming team. I found a white chalk in my hand. I drew a form of a door on the wall, a door handle and wrote “THE MOON” in big letters on the “door”. I tried to materialize the door, but it didn't work in the beginning. (Meanwhile, I didn't notice as the dream around me grew hazier and hazier.) Then the door I had drawn materialized – I was able to clutch at the door handle. I opened the door that had the looked like the fragment of the wall only with the handle, and found myself looking at another door – a white wooden door with a normal handle. I opened that door with the intention of the surface of the Moon being on the other side. By now the dream was very hazy, but I think I got through – the sky was black and the surface was gray. I think I started to shout something like “Is anybody from DV here?” but then everything went black.
Question, Nomad, considering I've never done this...
When you do shared dreaming with someone, do you see the person as they appear in waking life, or as you remember them, or how you imagine them if you've never seen them before?
AWESOME!
I did not know what MoSH or Raven or WarriorTiger or Silverwolf looked like before I dreamed with them. I still do not know what mowglycdb and others look like.
I didn't imagine them. I saw them. I perceived MoSh as his physical self. I perceived Raven just as she is, but in a white robe with a hood and white boots. Silverwolf always looked like a witch. WarriorTiger looked like a knight. Mowgly looked like mowgly, then a fox-man. Red always looks like a little vampire.
I have shared dreams with my girlfriend. I saw her in waking life first. The first time she looked like a woman with branches growing out of her head like antlers, and other times a witch, and sometimes an angel.
Everyone has morphed and changed.
I used to perceive people as different colored crystal-people, especially if I didn't know them. I don't know why.
I asked someone I know if, for chance, he dreamed about me. He said yes, and that I was hitting him every once in a while. Those things actualy happened, but I wasn't lucid. :D You have to be careful of what you do to people in dreams, you'll never know what will happen.
Ok, screw it. My DG can wait. Or really I think I can wait, when the time is right my DG will be there. Works out well being Saturday night. Hopefully I'll see you on themoon tonight.
I wouldn't call it a dream, it was more of a fragment.
Yeah, it's some where in my DJ, but I had an awsome shared lucid dream with my brother just a moment ago. When I woke up, I went to him and said : '' Didn't you have the best dream in your life? '' '' How did you know?! '' He was already awake.
It was kind of short, but yeah, he's a noob. You can read it in my latest journal entry, as of today.
After my 2nd unsuccessful attempt at going to the Moon, I have to ask, what is you way of going to the Moon? Any methods, really. :P I'll probably try all of them, before I finally get there...
Just stepping in to say that I am very interested in this aspect of dreaming, and it is now on my official goals list. Sadly, I'm still working on the basics, so I don't have near enough control to do a shared dream on purpose. I'll keep working at it, and we'll see how it goes!
This all sounds really interesting. I tend to err on the side of skepticism, but I try to keep an open mind. Life is all about new experiences, after all.
So is it okay if I happen to show up at the moon-tower at some point, Nomad? It sounds like it needs more graffiti.
Actually this is where I strongly disagree. Every person's dreaming is their own personal dreamscape. Sure people may show up at meeting places together without thinking it. BUT deliberately going into someones dream Without their permission I view as an invasion of privacy. You wouldn't walk into someone's some you don't really know without asking them first do you?
Sure all friendlies are automatically granted access. But it's more polite to ask permission first.
Maybe I need to be more specific. The Biodome is a place where all friendly people are granted automatic access. Others and I may or may not be there when you show up. It exists without us being there.
As far as going into someone's dream, or if you want pull them out of their dream, you should always ask permission.
That's why I started using a mirror to communicate with people. I ask them if they want to step through the mirror into my dream instead of just grabbing them with my astral tentacles like I used to. :P
Kind of read that out of context. sorry :P
Hey, that's okay. For those of us who are newbies, it's real nice for all answers to be crystal clear and signed in triplicate.
In other news, I almost made it to the moon tower, guys! So close.
Mental note: no celebrating.Quote:
I glide up onto the banister, ready to jump, when I suddenly realize that because this is a dream, I really can go anywhere.
Go to the moon.
Oh, yeah, I was gonna try to do that tonight. I hop off the banister, landing easily on the stone floor. I hold a hand out as I had visualized, feeling through the dream-fabric. I feel and hear a buzzing, and watch in amazement as the dream within the stone building abruptly disintegrates, leaving only the night sky. I look down, fully aware that I made it and I'm on the moon and -
Too much surprise.
So if I find some time to stop by the moon, it's cool if I join you all as well? :) I posted here long ago when I was really getting started with LDing, and am much better at it now than I used to be. While I've only had 15 lucids to date, I have much more control over them now than I've ever had before, and may get a chance to head up to the moon to see if shared dreaming really does hold true - I sure hope it does.
EDIT: Since I've never been there....what all's on the moon? Does it change often? Does anything stay the same?
Wow, an idea such as this could'nt have gotten any better.
I would like to partake in this event, however first I must pull off my first lucid dream. Tonight as I believe, will be the night.
-Dave
I'm pretty sure it was a false awakening, but I can't really be sure. I fell into another lucid dream shortly after that (no more luck with the instant transportation).
@Clyde: Raven gave a description earlier in the thread, which I've been using.

For something to focus on, the tower is a tall black tower inspired by Stephen King's Dark Tower series. There is a biodome at the base of the tower filled with beautiful plants, animals, and insects. It contains a stream and a small lake. There is graffiti on the side of the tower that reads, "Welcome to the Moon Tower" in bright yellow paint.
