Camo's Workbook~~^_^
Hi there ~
I'm 19 years old, living in Canada.
I've first encountered the concept of LD 3 months ago.
Since then... I've been enjoying reading any related resources about LD,
and trying hard to succeed my WILD.
I love writing my dream jounal into a story.
(backbones are my dream and elaborate them with some flesh)
Nowadays... I'm having fewer dreams and hard time waking up when I'm suppose to OTL
I recently read (Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge),
Old teachers and philosophers had these enlighten views of LD, which really made my eyes open.
"In order to stay awake in a dream, one must be awake in their life."
Easier say then done...
It is like a hamster absent mindedly going around a same wheel, a routinely cycle of a frivolous daily life. Time flies without my notice. I get oblivious of detailed yesterday like a dream. Even as I'm jogging or reading or eating, my mind would wonder off time to time like drifting water; daydreaming. Thinking, worrying about future and past, regretting, planning ahead. My brain is overflowing with intricate thoughts that I often forget the most important thing; present.
I do have troubles staying 'awake' or focus on my mind on present.
However despite some obstacles I may have, I am very looking forward to improve my LD skills with the help of good teachers.
Thanks for reading my long intro, and wish me luck~

Talk at the Paradise
If I succeed a Lucid Dream
I will escape my exhausted mind
To my paradise.
At the twilight
I sat on green grass, refreshing.
Eating a chocolate chip cookie and drinking a warm sweetened milk tea.
Enjoying and relaxing
With full of lazy smile,
When a soft wind carries some cold
I would adjust my pastel pink cardigan
And look up for a sky, died with
Yellow, pink, purple and orange.
Darkness comes with twinkling stars,
Little bugs chorus in harmony.
I would look myself in a floating mirror, and ask.
Asking and perceiving
Gives the wisest answer.
Continuous chain of questioning and answering
Sparks enlightenment.
Another ‘self’ comes out from a mirror and ask;
Why are you running away?
What are you afraid of?
It is a rule,
If I do not answer the question and get dragged by my ‘self’
I would be encroaching by my ‘self’
Forever.

How can I affectively wake myself up?
ARG >_< !!!
I'm having a hard time recalling my dream~!
Last night I went out for a walk, it gave me a good sleep, (too good)
I faintly remember few fragments of a dream, but not the whole story.
I turned on an alarm clock (with a headphone)... When I woke up... I couldn't hear it.
Because... the headset was gone far corner away from my bed.
How can I affectively wake myself up?
-
I was pretty sleepy last night... couldn't recall any dream (except few fragments)
Did'nt had any problem of waking up. (I told myself... I'm going to wake up at this time)
But... I was suppose to wake up in the middle of night to write down dream journals... (fail)
I am tired from a morning jog, so hopefully, this will help me to get LD.

Hi Camo, welcome! Please forgive me for getting back to you with such a delay! I'm pleased you joined and will be more than happy to help you on this wonderful journey of fun and self-exploration.
OK, lets get to work!
First thing is to work on you recall, as I'm sure you suspect. The best way about it is to write your dreams in DJ. Every small detail. Think about your dreams and how much they mean to you and be thankful for them. Please check out this tutorial that deals with recall and DJ, plus everything else you will need to paractice for DILD lucid dreams (mantras, RCs, awareness).
So if you have not done so yet, start practicing and work on you dream recall. Recall should get better in no time. Main thing is to believe in yourself and to KNOW, that you can do it.
If you have any question at any time, please ask. Happy dreams:alien:

Yes I definately do write my DJ everyday and sometimes elaborate some of them to a story (fun)
I've been trying to stay in WILD for these past 3 months.
I do remember more dreams + clearity improvement... etc... but still no WILD...
which is annoying =_=;;;

I am very tired nowadays... probably that's why I'm having a hard time recalling my dreams.
Like trying to grasp dispersing smog, I do faintly trace some pieces,,, but not all of them.
Stil need a practice ^_^

Finally WILD ~!
I did it~!! After 3 long months of writing a dream journals and several sleepless nights, I did WILD~~ (Hurray~!!)
I did not expect it to happen.
Last night I was very tired and slept late,
But I strongly will myself to wake up between binaural beats.
I must had been between sleep and awaken; a drowsy stage.
I was in a mustard seed coloured room.
I quickly did RC; bending my right hand, plugging my nose and looking at my cellp…
It was not there.
My smart phone with a little fur attached to it was not there.
So I knew this must be a dream.
After all…… I was floating.
This is THE first time to realize I am dreaming.
Like a person who first encountered a concept of internet,
I was thrilled.
I can ‘think’ as if in real life! This IS a revelation!
However I did not want my excitement to ruin this new experience,
So I calmed myself down.
I moved slowly towards a ceiling with a little shelf painted in white.
There were pottery dolls; delicate and fragile, but pretty.
I saw them at Costco.
They were twinkling and shining.
I wanted to try summoning my imaginary character,
But I must have thought too hazily. I could not do it.
On a side of the wall, I tried drawing a window with my finger.
I noticed a weird sensation.
I could think fast, but my body moved like scrolling a slow moving mouse; stifling a user.
I failed my task.
Probably because I did not know how my imaginary character would look like.
Not enough imagination and clarity, I stated.
I opened my eyes from sleeping.
It was still a middle of night, I could try another dream.
Unfortunately I was too well asleep after that.
But it was a nice dream.

Congrats to your WILD!
It is a great feeling when you become lucid, I agree. It's the best. The realization, that you can think and remember things from waking life is really amazing.
If you thinking of WILDing as your primary method, have you checked out Sivason's WILD class? It's awesome. Lots of great info, that will help you with DILDs also. Happy dreams :alien:
