JML-Just My Luck, In the Next LD when I'm Trying to Find the Guy, There's always an issue!

JML! This happens to me all of the time. Firstly, I have this thing for finding guys in my dreams and doing stuff. Like, if I have no plans in my LD, this is what I do. Find a cute guy, etc. This part is quite easy for me. I spot one, or I ask a DC, and then I find one. I then always seem to wake up after kissing the guy 3 times (I just need to learn to focus better-though I have done this dozens of times! I can't help doing this in my LD's :oops:). Well, my system is waking up, and then I end up falling asleep (probably not quite a DEILD), but I still am lucid right away in the next dream, a WILD I guess. Thing is, when that happens, I look for the guy I was with, but something always goes wrong.

Some examples include:

-he turns old
-he turns into a girl (for these two I have tried to change it, but it takes a bit, rarely succesful. Usually I wake up before it's done!)
-he is a pic on a piece of paper and I try to get him out (odd, I know, and without thinking this morning some magic lady was trying to help me :?)
-he disapears, and I can't find him no matter how hard I try, or the methods I use (the sunglasses dude dreams-there's like 6 of them-is my biggest fail example of this :P)

Don't I have bad luck? It's not like I don't know methods, cause I've tried them. To change the dude back into a dude, I had someone cut his hair (oddly enough, no poofing), but when we went back to the original place I first saw him after a scene change, he was FINE.

For sunglasses dude and finding him, I asked DC's where he is, I try to find him through "clues", expecting he'll be there, so much. I did find "him" a few times, but once after asking my granny where he was who just randomly showed up turned out to look like my dad...another one...just didn't look anything like him :(.

The thing is, I can do everything else control! I can fly, I can teleport, I can use my "magic hands", I can do lots of things! I bet if I wanted to summon someone IRL, it would work, but not these dudes! Is there ANYTHING I can do? I mean, I've always had this issue, or never tried to find the guy from the previous dream before. It's really annoying.

Tell me your ultimate fails too :P.

i have a similar problem, but unlike yours it is one girl that isn't random, i know her in real life. if you have an interest its in the control thread under want it too much. my solution was to be patient and try it over and over again and let it play itself out.

Yeah, I tried that 5 times with sunglasses dude. This was over a course of two weeks. I stopped because not only did it get boring, but I saw no point in doing it anymore, the point wore off. I was starting to forget what he looked like :P.

Have you had ANY successful dreams where you manage to stay in the dream while kissing them?

When I kiss girls in my LDs, I usually focus on the sensation of stroking their hair. It's also important to not close your eyes (although I'm sure you're aware of that already). Closing your eyes really used to be a problem for me though, since it comes so naturally when you're kissing someone.

Yeah, I know how to fix it and what to do differently. I have started to feel it going once while kissing a guy in my dream, and I told myself instead of waking up I'd appear at the computer in my house, and I did! I know I have to focus, but I always get lost in the moment. THAT I do know how to fix, but I often forget it and don't pay attention at the time.

I see.

One idea is to try to become as passive as possible while gaining stability in the dream. Let them do the kissing entirely. You've probably thought of that too, though :P

How often are you guys able to get lucid?

Few times a week.

When I'm on DV and stuff, a few times a week, and when I'm not maybe once a week. Usually if I get one and it's the summer and I fall back to sleep, I'll get another (hence the looking for the guy again-it comes naturally to me).

Same here! :/ im currently looking for my DG whose a guy, and i once spent 7 lucid dreams trying to find him and failing every time X_X
Ever considered,say, just NOT looking for him? Go about a lucid doing random things and maybe he'll appear?
My DG guy always seems to appear when im not looking for him.

Stand where you are and expect them to tap you on the shoulder. Imagine what they'll look like and what they'll be doing as you turn around and see them. It's the easiest method I've used that doesn't involve searching and trying to get the guy out of a sheet of paper. ;)
