Can't Ever Fly
Hello, I've been lucid dreaming on and off for around 6 months now and in every one I've ever had I never seem to be able to fly. Most of them have occurred during the morning, and I am always scared I'm going to wake myself up whenever I want to try something new. For example this one time I wanted to shoot lasers out of my eyes, so I closed them to get ready to shoot, and then opened and... awake. That was some bull right there. Anyways I hadn't had one in a while just cause I stopped trying due to school and stuff but last night I did and I couldn't seem to fly. Just wondering what to do and how to get back into lucid dreaming. Thanks GURRRLZ.

Well, with the eye lasers, you likely accidentally opened your real eyes as well. Being scared of waking yourself up will lead to waking up, so try and ignore that fear. As for flying, there are many different methods available. Fro instance, try walking up to some sort of container and expect to find a jetpack. Expectation is key for good dream control.

Hi!
Here's a very good thread about flying: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...you-learn.html
About the fear of waking up, just don't worry at all, because of when you wake up from a dream (lucid or not), that's a very good opportunity for you to go back and have a DEILD or WILD.

I am still working on my first Lucid dream but I have heard that a good technique is to learn telekinesis and try to just lift yourself as you would lift any other object.

I've always struggled with flying, I can get off the ground and hover low but I can't sustain the dream at all. My strategy has been to leave it alone for now, I've achieved far more with other things by not wasting dreams trying to fly. Once I become better at dream control then maybe I will give it another try.

I've had an instance of flying and the ability to control it. But I was really happy, so I think the feeling of happiness actually lifted me up but maybe I was happy because I was flying, I'm not sure. I bet it couldn't hurt though to instead of feeling fear, a grounding feeling, try to be happy, an uplifting feeling.

I had the same problem. I would be able to jump really high but could never actually fly. Until I met my Dream Guide. He taught me how to perfect my flying and do a bunch of other amazing things. Maybe you should try finding your Dream Guide the next time you're lucid.
