What happens if you simply don't believe that you can walk through walls?
That's my problem. I can't seem to force a belief if I don't believe it. Hence, most of my LD's are so normal they are real-er than real life (except for the light switch failures).
And, does anybody know why we don't sink through the floor or ground? Do our beliefs tell us that a floor is solid therefore we are forced to walk on it rather than under it? So much to learn, so little time. My beliefs are killing my LD life.
if you were born and raised in water your dreams would be focused in liquid floors if you spend your life on solid floors you will dream of solid floors,
the first step to achieving control is belief (that said im still scared when i do a "leap of faith" of large buildings)
start small and gain confidence evetualy you will simply pass through or fool your brain into thinking its not there
but all that said i did turn the floor into custard once highly amusing :-)
You dont have to believe that you can walk through walls. But realize that you can do anything in a lucid. Realize that there's a difference between waking life and the dream world, and that you can walk through walls in the latter.Quote:

generaly you have to be technicaly crazy to be good at lucid dreaming (powers)

As has been said, you don't have to believe to accomplish something. You just have to do it. I've found that one of the biggest obstacles to dream control/influence is that you allow yourself too much time to think. The more you think about the possibility of something not working, the more likely it won't. If you want to jump off of a cliff and fly, take a flying leap and do it! Don't stand there looking over the edge, wondering just how far down it is.Quote:

Also, don't be afraid to try something weird or cooky. If you think that balancing a paperclip on your nose will help you walk through a wall, try it! If you get an impulse to do something you haven't done before, give it a shot and you'll be surprised just how well it works. Once you manage to do what you aim for, belief takes a backseat.

Thx for the tips everybody. I'll see what happens. This really is SxiCj08's original question though. I just tagged along to see if somebody could assist me too.
If the walking through a wall thing works, I hope I don't bang my brains out trying to leap through a TV screen.
I was trapped in my house, and while trying to get out everything was blocked off. I was desperate, I opened the door and there was a brick wall behind it. I opened the window and the same happened. Eventually I went through a window flying and flew out then landed on my stomach and walked away. Then woke up unfortunately, I hate wasting time like that.
just close your eyes, remove all thought from your mind, and press your forehead to the wall. Walking through thick things is like walking through jello. Not hard, but you feel it pressing all around you. Cool, huh?
It's just like the matrix. :D
What if you get stuck inside the wall? Like those folks on Star Trek who sometimes materialize inside a rock.

Ok I'll give it a try but remember, it's possible that lucid dreamers who get stuck inside solid objects may die in real life. Nobody's every disproved that theory hence it's on the possibility list.Quote:

I've done it...once when fleeing from someone. I believed i could do it...and i ran through the wall...either that or flew through it, im not sure. In your dreams...just believe that you can do it. Its your mind...youre in control..right?Quote:
