For some reason when I get in dream fights my punches feel like I'm hitting my opponent with feathers. I'm still fast enough to avoid actually losing but not winning in my own dream is just as bad I think

I think it has to do with Sleep Paralysis. Sleep Paralysis tries to make you not move a lot, even in your dreams. So when you are doing things that involve a lot of force or movement in dreams, your body will persist. That's what I've heard anyway.
If you keep loosing with fists and feet use guns, and Kamehameha's.
I had the same problem in a dream and I just used my hand as a gun and said bang, bang, bang, and he died.
Just wait for Walms to post here, lol.
*Calls Walms*
I don't usually have a problem like that in my dreams. I guess it helps if you've actually had training or have been in more than a few fights in RL. Or, you know, just watch a bunch of Kung Fu movies.
Of course, there are so many other options available to you besides just using your bare hands. Although, I have to admit, taking out DCs in one or two bone shattering blows is incredibly satisfying.
Edit: Some more helpful information: Don't focus on the punches and the techniques themselves. If you do, you're probably gonna end up screwing it up somehow. Just let your fists, feet, and/or blade flow naturally and focus on what the end result will be.
lol naiya, I'm not good with advice.
Anyway, try other weapons? Or try what Mzzkc said, don't focus on the punch, just on the effect it will cause. Either that or instead of punching grab them and smash them to the wall/ground/whatever, if you are already fast, why not make use of it to toy with them?
You can use magic instead. How about using brass knuckles?
Grabbing seems to work better than punching.
Aw, dang. Well, personally, I don't do well in hand-to-hand combat in lucids, either.
Instead of landing punches, a lot of times I morph my hands/arms into flesh-colored blades and the slice the crap out of my opponent. But that can get messy (especially with zombies).
You can try doing some magic, like fireballs that explode on contact. Makes it a lot easier since you don't have to be in close quarters with your opponent.
Um...punch harder?Quote:

To increase your power, try doing martial arts training in your dreams. Find an inanimate object to practice on. Start with something easy to break and work your way up.
Hire the mafia to do it for you, Hitmen ftw.
The zombies in my dreams have evolved superhard heads in order to survive my wrath. At first it felt like punching a ham when I hit them in the head, but now axes and sledge hammer just glance off their skulls.
I have to cut off their limbs now.
The thing about that is now that you expect your punches to be weak they will be you need to know that they are strong, not hope
One of the reasons I tend to use my feet and elbows for attacks, fists and hands for grappling and blocking. Also, why I only ever attack in ways I know will have a devastating effect. Kidney shots are your friend. ^.^
