I've been going to sleep at night, seeing nothing but black, and waking up very frustrated. Do I need to work on my recall?
You may be just going through a dry spell.Try to keep a daily sleep schedule.You can also practice Image streaming.It will help your dream recall and vividness.Just google "Image streaming" for detail.
Do you normally have good recall? I wonder, do you have a DJ? That would work too.
I do have a DJ.
If you usually have good recall, I'd say you're just going through a dry spell. Sometimes I don't remember much more than fragments, even though my average recall right now is 3 a night.
It might help to stay in bed with your eyes closed and just relax. Think of random words and maybe they'll remind you of something you dreamed about. I know that sometimes I go through the day and see a word/picture, or think of something, and it reminds me of a dream I had.
I'm the same way. I used to have recall and it faded,then came back. Just try to think about your dream when you wake up.
If you remember a fragment think to yourself "and how did I get there" or "what caused that" thinks to go BACKWARDS through your dream. You should easily be able to remember how the dream went forward after that.
