It's normal to remember your dreams better when you wake up during (or immediately after) the dream. If you go back to sleep, it will usually tend to erase your dream memories. The best thing to do is write down as much of your dream as you can remember as soon as you wake up. You'll probably find that as you start writing, you will start to remember more details.
