If you have Learning Disability and Memory problems, is Lucidity even possible?

I've been practicing dream recall, journaling , reality chekcs, awareness, meditation.

But i'm wondering if i'm even ever gonna be able to Lucid?

Cause i have mental cognitive disbility. and i have memory problems. and learning disability. I wonder if my memory is not working because the learning disability blocks my memory from coming to my dream so i don't remember to do reality checks.

Wonder if i'll ever be able to do it. I do dream and i do remember my dreams sometimes but just seems for lucity you need to remember something in another dimension and since i have problems learning stuff and memorizing stuff even in the real world, then ....

I think you are just overthinking it in this case, it should be possible, and remember it's awareness trained from doing RC's IWL that makes us lucid, not the action itself, alot of times i become lucid spontaneously or by 'feeling the dream'. ;)
Also my short term memory is terrible at times yet i don't have problems, so stop worrying!

Thanks. alot . Yeah i'm getting some nice dream recall. got 2 dreams yesterday.
But it sucks i'm having problems going back to sleep. I'm trying to figure it out.

Don't worry too much about falling back to sleep, that just causes stress.
Instead lie down and relax, and fantasize about pleasant things. :content:

Also, I am completely sure that you can lucid dream.
You do remember your dreams, so just make it a habit to regularly ask yourself whether you are dreaming or not in waking life (really mean it, and consider the question) and you will succeed.

I have a Learning disability. The very well known one called ADD( Attention Defacit Disorder) and yet I started naturally having many Lucid Dreams somewhere around my 17th/ 18th year.
I had a whole 2 years of Vivid and often Lucid dreams.... So there's that: Your learning disability doesn't need to be an obstacle in achieving Lucidity; In my case I actually sometimes think it helped:
My ADD causes an unrest that has allways given me Insomnia; I slept terribly. Far too short, falling asleep far too late(messed up bioclock) and far too irregulair, but the + of this unrest is that I also
sleep light: hardily ever do I sleep really deep. It may be this extra mental activity that actually helped me achieve lucidity.


However I must say I've had a horrible dry spell; 0 dream recall. Or at best vague shards of memory...For like 10 ish years...
But after a long time I realised it had more to do with me being chronically depressed for a long time than anything else.
I conclude this, because now, after feeling alot better and more stable my Dream Recall is suddenly back and it is even crystal clear.
Dreams are vivid again and well remembered: Finally, after TOO LONG, I'm getting my precious dream recall back. Won't be too long now before
my delightfull lucid dreams will be back too.


Don't let the idea of impairment, impair you. If you know what I mean.
Don't let Psychiatrists and Psychologists define you with their Diagnosis, because after all:
Who knows you better than you yourself? Keep trying and if memory's a problem:
Memory can be trained. I too am often VERY forgetfull, but I refuse to accept this as a definition of who I am condemned to be.
We make our own personalities. If your shotty memory is a problem, discipline it. Train it into a crystal clear memory.
