I find water being the best element to become lucid. especially the different types of waters that you mentioned. Water often represents our subconscious, and the way the water looks feels, or sound, can often give you clues to the different moods of the dreams. Streams, waterfalls, water parks, lakes, and even beaches, are what i find to be great triggers for reaching lucidity. Yes school tends to be a bit trickier to trigger lucidity. as it has various layers of our higher selves teaching us something, or us teaching someone something in a school.

Ahh, mirrors are my favorite triggers for lucidity! ;-)

Me too! In fact, they help me stabilize the lucidity for me as well, if I look at my reflection after lucid attainment.

I've discover that lately I dream alot of being in my grandparents house (in small village), where I always in dream start to walk/bike home. Happened like 3 times the previous month..
Something else is that I dream about bathhouse quite often too. Also my dreams seems to involve loads of sex too.. So that's my dream signs atm.

I haven't established a dream sign, but I became lucid twice because I saw something and recognized it from a video game. The first time I saw goblins from the game "Oblivion" and I became lucid, but woke up, and the other night I saw the "revive" symbols from Call of Duty over some people's heads.

The odd thing is that because I am a gamer, elements from games I've played show up in my dreams all the time. I'm not sure why I became lucid those 2 times, seeing as almost all my dreams have to do with video games. I didn't even do an RC, I just saw them and realized "Oh, I'm dreaming." Perhaps they were just out of place where they normally would be. The goblins were in a city though they live in dungeons, and the revive symbols were above living people's heads.

Lately I have been dreaming a lot about wheels. I think it is a new dream sign!

I've seen a glass flask filled with a rainbow like smoke thing..
I haven't seen it since I identified it as a dream sign though. Apart from that I can't find any.

I was born and raised in Las Vegas, in my dreams I often find myself in that location but never really become lucid.

I dream a lot about our driveway. We live in the bush so our driveway is a 1.5km long dirt road and makes a great walk IRL. I dream of that often and another dream sign is a person I know, they're in my dreams a lot.

A big amount of my dreams are in my house and neighborhood. Looking outside from my front door onto my driveway triggered my first lucid dream.

A new dream sign that is starting to pop up is being in some sort of apartment. May have something to do with my house being renovated at the moment.

One that's been fairly consistent since I started training my dream recall is my biology teacher from year 11

Apparently the railroads and trains are now my dream sign as well, my girlfriend had that as a dream sign for years.
I'm also now a lot more often in one of my 2 homes, or just mistake random locations to be my home.

I haven't quite established a definite dream sign; I've been keeping a dream journal for about a year and a half now, and it seems that all I dream about are romantic interests lol! Maybe I should just think of men as my dream sign xD

I'm not expert in getting lucid yet, but looking at my DJ and my memories I saw that somethings are in a lot of my dreams:

- A beautiful brunette woman with short hair and glasses *-*
- A friend from the city I used to live.
- And a lot of times I'm inside a computer game. (I think I play too much xD)

I've only been keeping a dream journal for about a week now, but my dad is in over half of them...

water is my dream sign, in most of my dreams theres either a river, a beach, a pool, a leaky house, or its raining. it's been in my dreams for years but i never though of it as a dream sign, i always just though it was part of the dreamscape.

Video games are a popular dream sign :) I have 2 dream signs related to video games...well HAD because I don't keep a DJ so I can't keep updated on my dream signs :( but my most recent one was walking around school, in a particular area.

The colour of the sky in my dreams is always off. It's usually very dull, but green skies and pink skies are also frequently present.

I've been keeping a dream journal since 2010 and I recently read through it the other day. Based on occurrences and themes, I would state that these are my most common dream signs:

• Childhood friends: Several of my homeboys. Always intense and lucid dreams whenever they are in them. These dream descriptions usually go two to three pages in written length on notebook paper.
  
• College friends: Two of them in particular -- a boy and a girl. My dreams with them are usually chaotic and take place in similar environments and have similar themes. These two people used to be a couple. They don't communicate anymore.
  
• Skateboarding, Rollerblading and Snowboarding: Whenever I see these items or participate in these activities, I gain active control in all aspects of my dream. I always feel good and awesome waking up afterwards.
  
• Professors: Education played a huge role in my life and I always have dreams in school or learning atmospheres. Friends of mine who have dreams with me always happen to see me there too. My two closest professors usually end up in my dreams several times a month -- and I have been out of school for two years and haven't seen them since May of 2010.
  
• Numbers: Numbers are a huge dream sign. I have about five that appear on a regular basis.
  
• Snow: Reoccurring theme in dreams. Most visible weather pattern displayed in two years of dream journal writing.

My DJ is now with more than 30 entries and I could observe somethings.

The place that I most dream about is the city I used to live, most of the dreams in the house I lived.
The people that most appear is my mother, sister, brother and a cousin. They are in almost half of my dreams.

Being Alone is Mine. Either just being away from others like being in my own corner & no-one talking to me or literally being the only entity in my dreams.

Not really a dream sign so much as a recurring element: I'm sitting at the bar facing the front window in the dining area of the Whole Foods where I work. This is usually the place I go on break and whip out my laptop and browse DV and irc real quick. I've had 2 DILDs manifest themselves in that location this month. So I found it to be noteworthy.

Mine is water. Lots of my dreams have bodies of water in their settings. In many I also swim in the water. Another thing related to water that often happens to me is being attacked by some sort of sea monster or aquatic animal such as a stingray.

my dream signs are always tidal waves or tornados, and sometimes floating a few feet off the ground if I concentrate really hard - they've never led me to be lucid, though. My lucid dreams always happen spontaneously - apart from last night, when I had 2 lucid dreams after doing the reality checks I learned from the mobile phone app that led me here - plugging my nose and trying to breathe, and also trying to recall how I got somewhere and realising I didn't know. I just joined today and this is working for me already! Yay!
