Dream recall help!
Hi everyone!
Is there any way i can help my dream recall in waking life? im trying to keep a DJ, but im not getting any dreams. i havent gotten a dream for about 5-6 days, Im doing autosuggestion and imagining remembering my dreams when i wake up. I even named my subconscious and ask him every day to help me remember my dream. i relax and try to let images flow into my head, but how can i be sure that they are my dream, and not something i made up?
all i remember is an eagle and me standing on a cliff, and i cant remember anything before or after.
Tonight im going to wake myself up an hour early than i normally do, maybe il catch myself in REM and remember instantly.
Just want some feedback and tips for recall.
Will i eventually develope great recall, and i should worry?
Or should i be trying harder, to break the wall of actually remembering any dreams?

Seems like a standard problem to me. I had similar problems the first time I tried using a DJ. It's not something you'll be really great at, at first. Every time you remember the fact that you did have a dream it's helping you.
Don't worry. Just keep trying. Eventually you'll begin remembering more and more about your dreams. And keep up with the autosuggestion and just keep telling yourself "I will remember my dreams." Or any variation of that. Sooner or later, you'll get more and more recall, or it may even happen all at once. Just keep it up! ;)

Thanks for the encouragement! im sure if i keep optimism and confidence in my mind instead of doubt, itle happen much faster, after all, thats what lucid dreaming is about =D
Thanks

You might want to try waking a later parts of the night. It is easier to remember your dreams when you wake yourself up while in the REM Stage. REM stages occur roughly every 90 minutes so to catch your self in the middle of one. Ideal times would be about 4.5, 6, or 7.5 hours into sleep. You will forget many dreams throughout the night so try to catch yourself during one of these later REM stages. Hope this helps!

Thanks
thanks for tips everyone.
Im just ganna try to relax, focus, and do autosuggestion to get to bed.
Im waking myself up about an hour earlier than i normally do, so i should atleast interrupt a rem cycle, making my dreams easy to remember.
Im really hoping to remember a dream(or to even have an LD) Ive been reality checking alot (5-7 times a day) so i might LD sometime here soon(i may have already!, but i dont remember it =[ )
I just checked, and i have my alarm for exactly 7.5 hours from when i go to bed =D

Well, i woke up at 5:30 AM, and it was like i was hitting a brick wall.
I remembered nothing about my dream, i somtimes remember a fragment or an idea but today, nothing.
I really hope my recall imrpoves.
Thanks for all the help, il just keep on dreaming till i can remember =D

So, you woke up 7.5 hours from when you went to bed? Try setting your clock to a time well before that. It seems like it's a bit late to me. I'd try maybe 4 - 5 hours after you first go to sleep. You may have some better luck with your first light REM than with one later in your sleep cycle.
