Thanks for adding me. I like the the stuff you're teaching but I'm having a hard time understanding some it. You say in the Basic Skills thread
"Sit and just notice which noises you where aware of before paying attention. Now, with your eyes closed, casually explore each noise starting with the most obvious ones. You may first have been aware of the sounds of children playing, and traffic from a near by street. Listen to any of the obvious ones for a moment. Try to visualize in a casual and light manner, what each sound is"
I don't get the underline bit, you mean if I first sat down and heard a bird chirping and after paying attention to something else I continue listening to the bird?
What it means is that you should come to terms with the fact that only a few noises were making it through to your concious mind. At any one point an untrained person can hear about 3 things. The first step is just to see how many obvious noise you had been hearing, before paying attention. Get a clear image in your head of what you were hearing and where it is related to you. Later you will seek out how many noises you did not notice until you started payig attention.
Hi,
I joined this site the other day on the back of reading (2/3 thus far) The Tibetan yogas of dream and sleep.
I was first introduced to LDing 10yrs ago, managed to have 2 and let my practise slip pretty much since then.
At 29 I wish I stuck with it now!!
I would love to join this class. I am a 'scientific atheist' but feel very connected to the spiritual concepts of dream and those raised in this thread by the advanced participants.
The thought of meeting my dream guide blows my mind!
Alas, I am still at the stage of getting my dream recall to an advanced enough level to sustain LDing.
I really want to be in this for the long haul. So I best start here!
Hopefully I'm not too late (here and for my own journey)
John
I would like to take this class.
I'll start my notebook and bookmark this section.
Hi folks,
I'd like to join the class too. Looking forward to the discussion!
Thanks for devoting so much time to this, Sivason.
I've been looking into meditation for a few days now, and this seems like a really useful class (I've looked through some of the lessons and they seem really interesting).
I'd like to join too :)
I started practicing basic skill #1. It's weird how just hearing the world can change so much your brain. I mean, I didn't thought something so easy would be so relaxing and fun, this really changes your mind. Yesterday I was walking in a park just listening to everything I could. I couldn't hear my footsteps but i could hear my heart. Everything felt strange
Very interesting - very many things I find very interesting - I will look about a bit for first.
Your observations about the brain and itīs filters and many other neuro-related things you wrote make an awful lot of scientific sense, I got to say!
Interesting..
I practice yoga (an experimental system which I'm still working on, technically) based on 2 scriptures. It'd be an interesting attempt to try and incorporate it into my dreams as well. I'm willing to learn.
Hello all!
Just posting wanting to join to class (feel a little slow on the uptake haha). Let's see...I've been lucid dreaming on and off for about 4 years now, and I'm wanting to get back into it as freshman in college. Probably my biggest obstacle to overcome is my inconsistent motivation. I'll be fired up for lucid dreaming for about a month...then it dies down like nothing happened. Actually obtaining lucid dreams isn't a problem once I get back into the groove of things for about a week. However, this time around, I'd like to make lucid dreaming a perennial part of my lifestyle. Topics I'm interested in taking further: Fantasy/persistent realms, exploration, transcendent dreams (I've only had one I think), and anything out of the ordinary. Additionally, this time around I'd like to incorporate a variety of lucid dreaming techniques, instead of just relying on one. However, I would like to focus on the WILD, which is why I believe Dream Yoga would assist in this endeavor.
Looking forward to it!
I would like to join the class and did a new thread/notebook "i562564 dream yoga".
Should I then just start with Dream Yoga Basic Skills: Lesson #1?
Interested in joining! About to start a thread.
I will be a little slow responding for a time. I home comp is broken. :(
Very much would like to join this class myself. I would also very much like to LD, but I frear astral projection. I have started to record my dreams, 3 weeks ago, and I think, 2 days ago, I have had a dream which was somehow lucid. I dont think I have had any outside help to make me acomplish it, other than the realization of myself being able to control my own thoughts and memories, made me shift the dream in the ways I wanted it to be. I would also would like very much to discuss my dreams. I am 28, I am from Romania.
I came into the online dream community on Saturday 1-March-2008. Jennifer Dumpert had invited members of a yahoogroups site to join her mutual dreaming group, remotely.
That month they were using Tibetan Dream Yoga.
The Opening Post is all you need to read. Here is my story:

I am 55 in October this year (2014). Since it was Tibetan Dream Yoga that some how scooped me up originally, perhaps I should allow this class to guide me.
Hello!
I am very interested in getting involved in your course since I think it will help me get lucid more and have more control, clarity, etc in dreams. I am currently in the DILD course and I focus a lot on the mild technique and do a lot of dream incubation recently which I think this course can help me improve. So I was interested if I could start a workbook?
Just for some knowledge about me I am 17 from Australia and have had 8 lucid dreams starting from late last year
I would like to join the class. going to start my thread now.
I've been visiting this part of the forum on and off with the intention to start a workbook. And I think now is the time.
Hi, my name is Erik, I'm 24 from the Netherlands.
I'm not a very active or social member as I mostly post in my own threads, if at all, and workbooks (I have another one in the introduction section).
I've had some LD experiences since I joined, I think I had 2 or 3 induced lucid dreams, DILDs. Also managed to do a WILD once but I consider it a fluke. Like a lot of the members here I joined this forum after experiencing a LD and searching the net but since joining and reading some books on LDing I still feel like I don't know enough about the subject to fully enjoy, embrace or explore it? I can't really find the right words for it. Like, the dream I had that brought me here has faded and I was still doubtfull of all this being real. But then I joined this forum and a few months later I was really experiencing a lucid dream. This opened a world I didn't believe in and I'm still having trouble with it when I read about the things I see people seem to consiously accomplish in their dreams, even though I know through personal experience it's real.
I guess at the time I still brushed it off as my lucid dreams being nothing more than just a dream, no pun intended.
Anyway, I sort of just returned to this forum and plan on staying for a while, which is why I think now is the time to join this class.
Looking back on how my progress went on when I joined here in 2012 I can tell this is the perfect course for me to follow and get back into the action and start a serious path toward LDing.
But it's not all about LDing, I also hope to find these classes will help me clear my head sometimes, I can already tell my attempts to "meditate" were way off.
Will start my workbook as soon as I get home.
I hope this class helps people in all sorts of ways other than just having LDs. The material has improved every part of my life.
My name is Kat, I'm 28, and I'm interested in taking this course. I've only had 2 lucid dreams, but would like to have more. I also meditate regularly. If it's all right, I'll go ahead and make a workbook thread in the forum....
Hello!
My name is Hans, I am 17 years old (almost), and I am highly interested in participating in the Dream Yoga class. I started getting into lucid dreaming in December 2013. I had 3 LDs and then I lost interest because I didn't have any more, which was a mistake. Now I'm back in, and I want to try Dream Yoga and meditation. I am attempting WILDs nightly and I think this can help me achieve WILDs and DILDs. I hope it is okay that I create my Yoga book in the forum.
Thank you!
