to be brutally honest, I've only rented out FFX for a week, and I only got up to the mini-boss battle with Kinahri. for some reason I couldn't beat him. I kept on dying. :( then when I played the demo version (it came with a PS2 mag) I bet him and Wakka came along and stuff. I don't know why I couldn't beat him in the full game and then beat him in the demo. It makes me angry sometimes.
The only one I have played is X. It was excellent. I plan on getting VII when it becomes downloadable via PSN.
Although Tidus was kinda gay, I liked the rest of the characters, and the combat was very satisfying. Sure had a really wacky (but good) story though. Are all FF stories like that?
Yah. I tend to relaise that a lot of FF games are random beyond belief, like the ending scene of FFX (YouTube is my friend ;) ) where something random happens to Tidus (randomly being untouchable) and he runs off the ship, and Auron and the other characters come by him. I was like "WTF!?"
They are not random, they would be random if the ending had nothing to do with the story line... you should read or play the whole game before making that kind of conclusion. The reason why Tydus was untouchable was because he was fading away since he was just a dream made by the Fates "Summon creatures" (havnt played in ages so correct me) and that Auron is already dead but did not accept to "pass on" to the other world and at the end of the game he does.
Basicly meaning Tydus and Auron are really dead throughout the whole game (again correct me)
But yes the story lines are very "different" from the normal type game (which is what makes them so good) but they aint random.
Thanks o.O
P.S. I have this warn thing below my info under my avatar, is that just for me to see?
Oh man. I suppose you're right. I'm just looking into final Fantasy and I haven't been a massive big fan of the series, but I'm sure that what you're saying is true. I don't know all about it and I've only played a bit of it, but oh well. Made a bad error saying it's random. Sorry.
Mostly correct. Tidus (not Tydus) was actually never alive, he's just a dream by Faith thingies brought to "live" to serve as Yuna's guardian until she gets her job done in finishing Sin off. So he was never a born person. When they did kill Sin, he no longer served purpose, and he disappeared again.
Heh, the FFX ending was one of the worst ones.
I liked the FFXII ending just because of Balthier.
slight ploilers i guess:
"Vaan, din't i tell you my role in this story? I'm the leading man! The leading man never dies!"
LOL no problem man!
But i really think you should play FFVII before you bother with playing the others. I really cant recomend any other FF game apart from maybe IX X and prehaps if your in the mood VIII.
I actually kind of likes FFX ending! it was better than VII i can say, nearly made me cry! Although i admit i have only actually finished VII and X even though i have VII,VIII,IX,X and X-2 (which i am not ever gone to play again! And if you want to argue with me, im up for it! :P)
Thanks o.O
I agree. X-2 wasn't a game, it was a pile of crap dressed up to look like a game.
Ive finished 7, 8, and 10 and also tactics for GBA. I own X-2, but lost interest in it pretty quick, 7 was probably my favourite.
I played two for the snes, not sure which ones. I loved tactics, and I can't wait for Final Fantasy Tactics A2: The Sealed Grimoire.
