Flatland by Edwin A Abbott. I'm such a geek
American Psycho
I loved it. I thought it was amazing. Pretty funny at parts, witty, and extremely disturbing.
Brave New World By Aldous Huxley.
currently working on The Giver by Lois Lowry.
Dilbert Future. Liked it. Currently working on the last chapter of that, and am halfway through Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
(technically, the last book I completely finished was Monk: Mr. Monk and the Two Assistants. Which I liked more than some of the television episodes, but less than most.)
The last book I read was Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. That was about two months ago now, but I read that book in two or three sittings which is always great. It is definitely in my top ten, if not top five books ever list.
Currently I'm working on The Hitchhikers Guide (just finished So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish). It's been great, certainly lived up to the praise I've heard thus far, but damned if it hasn't taken me a long time to get through. I was hoping to take a week, but I've only been able to pick it up once or twice a week. Mostly Harmless is short though so hopefully I'll have a chance to read the rest of my summer reading list over the next six weeks.
Yeah, H2G2 rocks.
Working on T.A. Barron;s Lost Years of Merlin series. About halfway through The Seven Songs of Merlin.
Just finished reading Eye in the Pyramid...The first step in the illuminatus trilogy...It was beyond every other book I have ever read, and I'm sure the next two are just as good, considering it was meant to be one book, not a trilogy.
RAW FTW
The one before that was Zen and the art of Moto maintenance...Anyone read the sequel?
The Shining. Also flatland was epic, so was Hitchhikers.
Romeo amd Juliet by W.Shakespear.
Classic, love story with an ill fated doom.
Star crossed loves,death,hatred.
What's not to love?
the once and future king
i am patiently waiting for the fourth in the twilight series, august first! EEEEEEEEEEEE!!! :D :D :D lol, wow....
This Day All Gods Die by stephen R donaldson
Last in a series of 5 called the Gap Series.. Abserlutly fantanstic i recommend everyone here reads them. The first one takes some reading even though its short but when it gets rolling, you will not regret it :D:D:D:D
Currently reading I am a Strange Loop by Douglas Hofstadter.
the cirque du freak...
oh my gosh. A 13 year old could have written that book :?
i could have written that book
it was interesting though... it's just that the way it was written is something I would write in my journal, never to be published.
I dont even know why I read that book, honestly
Haha, I've read them^... They were pretty cool at the time. The ending of the last book was just... meh. Could have been better.
Anyways, the last book I read was The Fires of Heaven by Robert Jordan.
Just finished The Host by Stephanie Meyer. Before that, The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari and Tuesdays with Morrie. Hurray for 'chase your dreams' phases
finishing A Mind to Murder. i'm not even into murder mysteries and i find it a pretty good read.
In the middle of The Tempist...Shakespear.
In the middle of World War Z and Blink, last book read was I am legend.
Elizabeth Gaskell's Cranford. Steamy, slutty Victorian girls in a non-stop action thriller. It's probably the first piece of English literature to use the ninja archetype in the context of an alien invasion.
A wild ride, from start to finish. I could not put it down.
exploring the world of lucid dreaming by stephen...something. really horrible book, don't waste your time.
hahahahaha. I just started reading that yesterday.
I just finished Reading Michael Crichton's Next. It's an excellent book. It's about genetics and some of the insane things that scientists are doing with that feild of science. It's a great example of the amazing potential of humanity that is constanlty squandered for money.
Manifesto, I re-read it for the 129482379487th time.
I just wish I knew who wrote it.
