Heroes, hands down.
I just kinda began losing interest in Lost, a little while back. I dunno. It just kinda lost the appeal, to me. It's still pretty cool, don't get me wrong (though I have missed a lot) but it doesn't hold up to Heroes, IMO.
Heroes had me addicted after the first ep...
Lost on the otherhand, after the first ep I was like "yeah, it's ok I guess". I watched it a bit on and off throughout the series and never really cared about the "Others" ect.
Okay I voted Heroes but only because I think I have seen this more recently and therefore is more fresh on my mind!
But you know as soon as the 4th series of Lost comes out you will be glued to the TV saying "What's Heroes?"
Heroes because it gives you some damn answers as to what's going on instead of layering plot twist after plot twist without giving any explanation whatsoever. Also superpowers are cool.
Lost gives you answers, you just get more questions from it though, which is why we all get hooked!
TBH the only reason I will return to LOST for season 4 is the big statue foot.
that really got me.
Heroes for sure... when tv-links's links for Lost stopped working I was like "ah well, no big deal".
However when I can't find the next episode of Heroes I become terribly agitated, bite my nails and sweat uncontrollably. In one case whilst on holiday I became very ill. And I'd only missed two episodes!
Dude...this is no contest...Heroes.
Oneiro that link I sent, make sure you use the Alt Link okay?
I have just finished season 1 of Heroes!!! Okay not much of a cliff hanger for the next season... But looking forward to getting into it :D
Just finished season 1 of Heroes as well and yeah let's face it, NO COMPETITION!! :D
Warning for some season 1 spoilers:
I did feel like there were some inconsistencies in the show though. For instance, what ever happened to Claire's friend, the one who video taped her falling off of things? He seemed so central and then after he lost his memory he was there for a bit but then faded away...
Also, what exactly was the big deal about Peter exploding/Claire maybe having to shoot him.. I mean he can regenerate for christ's sake, why was everyone so worried about his life?
Peter wouldn't have exploded. He emits radiation, he doesn't actually explode. Also Claire shooting him in the head would've "killed him" which would've turned off his powers, like how Ted stopped emitting radiation at Claire's house after he was sedated.
I think the actor who played Claire's friend stopped being in the show because they was going to make him turn out gay and the actor didn't like that so he was cut from it.
Glad you liked season 1  To answer your question, yes peter can regenerate but if he exploded, millions of pieces of him would be scattered around for miles around. Getting stabbed and healing is one thing...but being able to summon all of your pieces back and have them meld back erecting your body again is another...
Because even Claire doesn't know the extent of her regenerative abilities. Breaking her arms, legs, neck or ribs is one thing...
Taking a bullet through the brain (which, as far as they know, is the organ that controls all of their Hero(ic) abilities) is completely different.
[Edit: Moved to where it should be.]
Neenee, I know you answered about the guy, I was saying you didn't answer the question about why everyone was worried! :P
O, hmmm quite. But remember when Peter got that chunk of glass lodged way in his brain? Or when Claire got something lodged way in her brain but then healed once they removed it in the morgue? See, it's inconsistent...
I love both shows...really
and heros is just slightly better in my opinion
Ah, you're right. I remember both of those..
But then, they were both officially dead until those pieces were removed from their brains. Probably much harder to remove a bullet from someone's brain than a piece of metal or glass that is already sticking halfway out of their heads. You do raise a good point, though.
Still, though, in their defense: They are playing an dangerous game by screwing with their brains. They may not have even known that those shards were pulled pulled out of their heads, as they were killed when it happened, and woke up after they were removed. That would be a dangerous game that they would be playing, to just assume that they could be revived by pulling whatever killed them out of their heads. Would you take that chance, if you didn't know, exactly, that their removal is what brought you back to life? Hmmmm... :)
I watched an episode of lost once, it was the most confusing thing I've ever seen on TV. I guess it can appeal to you if you're really good at keeping up with it. I suck at keeping up with shows though. I always remember to watch them exactly 10 minutes before the end. You can catch up with Heroes online though so Yay! for heroes. Also Hayden Panettiere is hot. Like, I'm not just saying hot, I'm saying hooooooooot.
As far as what you're saying, they aren't REAL plot holes, I mean, Claire and everybody just thought Peter would die, doesn't mean he actually would. If he had been shot, they probably could have removed the bullet and he would have been fine.
And as far as exploding, Ted exploded once, didn't do shit to him.
I thought the whole glass through the head thing is stupid just because then where do you draw the line? It basically means if Claire got her head cut off and separated from her body she and locked in a box for two years to rot and stuff and then taken at and put back on her decomposed neck she would come back alive.
But we've seen bullets literally "pop out" of Claire's body.
But as you may recall, it was Claire who pulled the shard out of Peter's brain! So she knew all along that injuries to the brain weren't serious.
In any case, I love Heroes so much it's ridiculous. I never said it was a plot hole, just a bit inconsistent... but I am more than willing to forgive. :smitten:
What do we think of the irish gangstersSpoiler for Heroes/season2:
