Yeah, I mean... If they don't make a port, it's whatever because I'm buying a Playstation 3 next year...

MGS4 is not coming to 360, Kojima and Payton have both confirmed this multiple times. Hell, Kojima says they don't have enough room on a 50GB Blu-ray disc to fulfill his complete vision. So while I wouldn't completely rule out a port coming sometime later, there is currently no plans for one and I personally don't think it's likely to happen. They'd have to seriously cut some stuff down to fit on a DVD and I doubt they're willing to do that.
But again I wouldn't completely rule it out, and I'm not trying to diss 360, both consoles have their merits. I go purely on what games I want and what consoles they're on. More games on PS3 that I personally like = me having a PS3. Blu-ray helped too, and now that its won the format war, I'm glad I made that choice.
GTA IV! HELL YEAH!
Heres a nice article I read today about the Multiplayer aspect: http://au.ps3.ign.com/articles/865/865140p1.html
It look so unbelievably good.
I already have the ps3 version pre-ordered. Although I am going to cancel my pre-order tomorrow... Since I found out the Australian version is censored because the OFLC doesn't have a R18+ rating for games here. Damn anti-gaming politicians! So instead I'm going to import it. I'll have to wait an extra 3-4 days for shipping but I'll get the uncut American version and will save $35. God bless America for their dollar being in the sh** at the moment :D I recall the day when Americans would bag Australians for our weak dollar... who's laughing now? MUAHAHA! ...no offense intended.
Metal gear solid has always been one of my favourite series' in a game. I am so getting GOTP. Been looking up on it and it seems to get better and better each time.
Now onto GTA4. I admit this pretty easily that although I had fun on SA it just sucked. The graphics was the only let down (well there were others but being blinded by a complete orange screen while being chased by the cops is not my idea of fun.)
But lookig at this game, it looks much better. Not so much graphics and fighting/shooting/driving but other things.
I read that there's a mission where you have to kill some witness but you don't know where he/she is so you ring up the police report a crime and then break into their cop car and type the witness' name on the computer to get the info! How realistic is that! It appears to have a limitless gameplay.
Also the multiplayer is enough to get me to buy it on it's own. Think of free roaming with a friend, (SA's multiplayer is like nothing in comparison)
Plus yes O get a ps3 goddamnit!

Either the (unlikely) 360 port will end up packaged like this, or it'll be a horribly stripped down version. I only own a 360 at the moment, but damn, DVD9 isn't enough for MGS4, not by a long long long shot. 360 is good for Live Arcade though Rez is my baby.
As for GTA4, I'll probably pick it up in time. I've listened to the radio samples they sent out and they're just not as funny as in the other games. I only ever really played for the redio, I found the gameplay dull. :(
lolz at the pic
I'm gonna buy the MGS4/PS3 combo, because there will definitely be one.
Oh yeah, back to the topic on hand... GTA4... WANT WANT WANT!!!
Haha, nice pic.
Here's a video that goes with it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AaMQUjBA52g
I'm no 360 hater, but I have to admit, that video is hilarious.
EDIT: to stay on topic... I just ordered GTA4 from play-asia about an hour ago. yeeeeaaaah!
Now to wait... *twiddles thumbs*
I've found myself surprisingly excited by the prospect of GTA 5 days after my birthday. It feels like a real step-up from the disappointment that was San Andreas.
Did anyone see the first review to come out? Its online as a scan from one of the UK 360 magazines. Got a perfect 10. Sounds bloody amazing. I've got it on pre-order through amazon, hope I get it the day it comes out! And thats the special edition too :P
I am so jacked for this game. I remember years ago, not too long after playing Vice City, I stated to my friend how much better GTA would be with the graphics from Burnout. Lo and behold, a newer, revamped Grand Theft Auto.
The graphics look amazing. The story looks amazing. The places, things, people... all look amazing. I am truly excited for this game (and I never get excited over video games anymore).
And what was so bad about San Andreas? I thought it was a major step up from 3 and Vice City... sure it had bad graphics, but the story kept me going.
SA graphics did suck. In fairness I thought the game was good and had lots to do however it just didn't have that flare that III and VC had. Maybe it's just because it didn't have that vibe, you know? Still I must admit I did have fun on it. Although the guns sounded like a kiddies cap gun.
This one seems so much better and the graphics (hopefully but most likely will) be awesome! As long as the faces don't look flat and they don't have bread loaf hands like it's predecessor I will be happy :D
I have no intention on getting a 360 or PS3, i'll just wait till it comes out for pc. I know Rockstar isn't saying anything about releasing it for the pc yet, but that's how it was for san andreas too. I might have to wait a little longer to actually play it, but at least i'm not spending an extra 300-600$ just for the console.

Review here, looks awesome :cooler:
Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd make a post to see whos anticipating the highly anticpated GTA IV, The whole reason I bought my 360 over 16 months ago was for this game. And if it weren't for the PS3, it would be out on the 360 already. 8 days to go. I remember saying 2 years to go at 1 point.
But Hey, It's Only A Few Days Away:banana:
These people can't wait for it.
No worries.
A (different)forum member wrote this in another thread about GTAIV... perfect.

Since this has devolved into a system war again...
This whole thing is absurd....
I have had a first generation X-box 360 since around the time of launch and it has not, crashed, gotten the 3 lights of death or had any other issues whatsoever...I also have a PS3 and have had no hardware problems yet either...
The Pros of each imo
360
1. The Library of games...Herb is delusional if he thinks that PS3 has anywhere near the scope of good games that the 360 has...
2. System failures...People are under the assumption that every system made crashes and fails and is a chore to use...This is just ignorant bs to try to justify having only one system that has yet to have a killer app...
3. Xbox Live...The single most revolutionary thing in modern day online game play...
4. The Controller... I have yet to play a game where the PS3's Si-axis has been used in an innovative or slightly fun manner...Plus I have always loved the size and heaviness of the 360 controller..
PS3
1. Media Center... If you don't want to play games and have a nice media center, the PS3 is the better system to put at the center of it..Blu-ray, Better device compatibility, the Sleekness, The functionality...
2. Blu-Ray...The PS3 like the PS2 before it is at the forefront of the new media revolution and Sony once again has put one of the best players onto the market under the label of Playstation...Movies in blu-ray are really that much better and more innovative than the now defunct hd-dvd and the fact that it comes with one out of the box makes the battle of movie viewing a no question win for Sony
3. Potential... Like the PS2 before it, before GTA3, The PS3 at this point has way more potential to grow than the 360...Whether or not it gets that one exclusive killer app is still to be decided but the potential to be the number one system is there...People cite resistance as the first PS3 killer app but it is far from having the scope or reach that GTA3 had for the PS2...
The Cons
360
1. Lack of blu-ray and now hd-dvd support... The movies on live thing is great but owning digital media is never the same as owning the hard copy...The format war is over and the high-def revolution is in full swing and will be fully adapted by most in the coming years and the 360 may get left in the dust in this aspect as the sexier PS3 with its blu-ray functionality takes over the market share...
2. Lack of Sexiness/Being the older brother....Being as that the 360 was the first released of the current gen systems, it begs to offer the question of "How much life does the 360 have and what is it going to do to beat PS3, 2 even 3 years down the line?"...I don't have a clearcut answer for this and it kind of worries me about the 360's longevity...
PS3
1, The games... There is not one game that makes me say, I am glad I bought a PS3.. BioShock/Halo 3/Gears of War/etc.. are all better shooters in their respective rights than Resistance...
2. The controller....I hate the si-axis... it seems like a gimmic and is no where as innovative as the Wiimote... It has yet to be used effectively to enhance a game...
3. Online... The playstation network isn't xbox-live and that disappoints me... The online functionablity of the Xbox 360 may be what keeps the system alive...
I left out hardware failure as a con because I have yet to experience it from either system and I can base my opinions only on first hand experience in this matter... Both systems are great and both have their shortcomings but to dismiss one over the other is asinine and foolish... My preference for gaming lies with 360 right now but that could change and I will be the first one admitting it...
In Game Screens!
Spoiler for w00t!:
Multiplayer!!!
Spoiler for LEAKED IN-GAME MULTIPLAYER SCREENSHOTS!!!!!:
Sorry for the triple post... but seeing as how the Xbox 360 is going to have Episodic DLC it's the system to get the game for... the 2 episodes are gonna add up to 10 extra hours of gameplay.
Wow... I cannot wait.
too bad i dont have a ps3, or a hdtv....atleast i got my badass pc!
it comes out on pc later right? (it better or else theres hell to pay) :D
