I'm saddened, he was one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) music superstars this world has ever known. Music just got a little less interesting.
Rofl.. I'm not insensitive... Just not a pic you can miss. I got it from tumblr.

Wow. Been following this since this afternoon (and respect to David Carradine as well - I meant to mention his death a couple of days ago - and FF). It's crazy. As sickly as he was, I wouldn't have expected him to die anytime soon. Dunno why not.
While untimely in a sense, he's been kinda undead for a decade or so... the downward spiral seemed unlikely to stop anytime soon.
I'm a bit saddened because I genuinely did like the guy, but I can't help myself from laughing at all the humor that can come from his death. I changed my Steam name to "Michael Jackson's Zombie".
Merged 2 threads.
He had just planned a 50 concert come-back tour... I dunno. He did revolutionize pop by coining what is now modern pop dancing. Plus, he broke down some pop-music racial-stereotypes.
I really don't think that he molested anyone and never have.
It's sad that such an entertainment icon passed away. I often use these times to wonder though, why people are so affected when a celebrity dies. It's a strange phenomena.
I find it to be tragic, sure, but at the same time I am not personally saddened by it.
Even still, his musical advances will be remembered far longer than the jokes about his plastic surgeries and child molestations. Rock on, Mike. Rock on.
Is the tour still on..?
ahhh, where is Eminem when you need him... "I've touched on everything, but little boys" lol
Rest in peace Michael.
I was playing WoW when the news got out, instant WoW-MJ jokes flood.
"michael jackson died!!1 :("
"did he drop any good loot?"
"when does he respawn?"
"haha mj is corpse-running"
It was pretty funny.
I think a lot of people are affected by celeb deaths because many of us feel like we know them, in a sense. They're familiar. As opposed to all the other people who die every day in the world.
I think it's not so much about feeling we "know them" as much it is what they did during their lifetime. Kennedy got us on the moon first for example. When he was killed, our red, white and blue stripes became a little pale (metaphorically speaking of course). Now Michael Jackson had the BIGGEST impact on pop music to THIS day. He affected many lives and inspired a generation of young artists. While the woman who lived two doors down from me might have done something significant with her life, it really comes down to "Whose life did she affect?" That's the question I may pose before I feel remorse over her for her blowing her brains out 2 years ago with a shotgun in her closet.
eh, pretty much standard "jokes" in WoW :PQuote:
lawl. those are good.
A friend of a friend (guy a car share with to work) got his tickets to one of his concerts yesterday, then found out this news last night! Shocking really!
I was playing a game, and alot of people were making posts saying stuff like RIP Micheal Jackson, then these guys (and girl and girl/guy) came up and started saying that no noe cared that he died and that we should celebrate and that he was a molestor who wanted to be white badly. I found that kinda insulting an in bad taste. He didn't even choose to change his skin, he had a disease.
I feel sorry for the guy, so much happened to him as his career plummeted and he went out without sorta changing his career for the better.
He was kinda creepy in his later years but you gotta admit hes awesome in the 80s
NOOOOOOO!!!!
RIP
Somewhere in the world Macaulay Culkin is weeping.
