Pirates Of The Carribean: Dead Mans Chest. Plot Holes so large you could sail the Black Pearl through them! Pretty dissapointing. It still did have some good lines though. anyone who's seen it. "look, an undead monkey" *BANG*

I also saw PotC this past weekend. Very enjoyable, but not quite as clever as the first one, I think. Also, much like with "The Empire Strikes Back", I was left feeling that the movie was incomplete, and was mainly just made in order to set up the 3rd one.
Kill Bill Vol I again
the sound track to that alone gives me eargasms
Pirates 2- Wasn't a bad film, bit slow for the first 40 minutes but when it gets into it, I thought it was quite good.
I missed the end though ( bought jumbo sized coke  )
Kontroll.
it's a hungarian film with english subtitles. it is filmed and takes place entirely within the budapest subway system. some parts are very funny, some are kinda weird. it is all somewhat metaphorical.
overall, i'd give it 4.5/5 *s.
Clerks 2.
Freaking hillarious.
Finally saw Akira. I'd give it about a 6/10. Alright but the story wasn't as much for me as say Advent Children. Now that's a 10/10 movie.
As much as I like Advent Children if you actually look at the plot much of it is just filling the gaps between action sequences. People who have no knowledge of Final Fantasy 7 are also left, for the most part in the dark (Red XIII and his cubs at the start for example). If you look pass the flashy CG and action sequences there is nothing much left save something about a nasty disease some and some bad guys wanting it (it is a bit more complicated than that, but that's about the sum of it). I'm not trying to lay down the hate on it here but if you compare it to a cult classic such as Akira it is a much better film.
sorry, not trying to be critical. Just practicing to be a movie critic, so...I guess I am being critical then?
Peace
butterfly effect.... i enjoyed it
cus i can do it
but im not telling you what it is so :P
next im going to watch the old school bourne identity i failed to pic the new one on my blockbuster online list and picked the old one by mistake but i will watch it anyways
cant wait for ricky bobby
I rented 'People I Know' last night.
Shame on Al Pacino for starring in such an intolerable shitfest. Do yourselves a favour and AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
ah, I vaguely recognize the name. One of the only crappy films he's been in though, so...
No problem about the opinion. I really only watched it to see Red XIII, so having him in there made it a perfect movie in my opinion. Akira is probably better in its story, but didn't really have characters I liked in the same way. I'm playing through FFVII now and so understanding more about the film.
Dead Mans Shoes on FilmFour.
Quite upsetting but definitely recommended.
K-911
entertaining, and fun, and stuff...
great movie, definately worth of better grades (especially at IMDB)
(note that i give grades on how entertaining it was: example: i would grade k-911 a 7,
while grading "the godfather" maybe a 6 (since I found it boring, and maybe it was too complicated for a 8 year old to watch...)
(also note that these are MY opinions, and that you stay away from them)
X-Men III and the Omen at a drive in.
Wasn't too impressed with X-men. Seemed to lack heart. I fell asleep 1/4 of the way into the Omen. Nuff said.
Looking forward to seeing Clerks 2, just cuz my fellow geeks have raved about it.
passed out half way through Star Trek I...does that count?
pirates of the caribbean 2 :bigteeth: :bigteeth:
Talladega Nights
For those of you who may not know me, I'm rather conservative when it comes to morals and ideals, so don't be surprised when I say that there were no redeeming qualities about this movie. I was absolutely mortified by how much crap was in this movie; it basically ran the gammut of what I consider distasteful. This is officially the first movie that I have walked out on, though I should have left much earlier.
You may find it amusing, but I urge you not to go see this movie.
The previews didn't impress me much, either.
Wow, really? I guess you and I are very different people then. I have a very well-defined distinction between right and wrong, and a conscious on an inexorable quest to deny me even a moment's respite (thus I can "get away" with absolutely nothing), but I also acknowledge humour...I don't see how this movie could compromise one's morals. There were some offensive things said in the movie, sure, but are you not capable of a "paradigm shift" when sitting down to such a movie? Dunno...I usually can (but I have seen the occasional South Park that went too far and I had to turn it off). Then again, I love Will Ferrell, so I went in there seeing it in a completely different light. I could certainly understand people not finding it funny, but I really believe the movie did not go too far.
Pirates of the Caribbean 2: the Dead Man's Chest
great movie... much better than the first...
wow you are really conservative. Amethyst I have one word of advice for you, never ever no matter what ever watch the movie Donkeypuncher....everQuote:
