It's a very character driven story, so I don't really know what you mean by simple. Thinking of it as a WhoDunIt, yeah it's simple but the themes being addressed were rather complex.

I've seen the two original ones, not the third one
EDIT: now that it comes down to this,, haven't seen third Matrix either. All say that it's crap but I'm interested in it for the sake of popularknowledge

Chronicle
Saw it once in the theater and again on bootleg. It was actually pretty good. Started off a bit weak. The 'home/school life' portions of the beginning got a bit tiresome (especially the eventual antagonist), although it did make for some decent character development; not entirely useless.
About 3/5 of the way through the movie is when it really starts to get good. The finale is pretty awesome (as it's very-heavily inspired by the anime movie Akira, and quite well done). If you can get passed the small budget this movie has - which shows through in some of the earlier effects in the movie - it's not bad at all.
Maybe 6.8/10
I saw The Artist a few weeks ago and holy crap, it was fantastic. I thought it definitely lived up to the hype surrounding it.
The Crucible. What a bore.
Paulie. That movie with the talking parrot and the little girl from the old pepsi commercials. I cried twice and fucking loved it.
Last time Guyver (1991) and Guyver 2 the dark hero (1994) my hero. Nobody knows about him, good effects and nice story line really. Need to be watched! Recommended for Sci-fi and Fantasy FANS

I did a full run of the Matrix Trilogy, and i must say, it was one hell of a ride. I've already watch the whole trilogy back then but didn't had a single clue of what was happening. The movies are somehow relatable to the concept of lucid dreaming, especially to the element of dream control.
The Matrix = 9.5/10
The Matrix Reloaded = 6/10
The Matrix Revolutions = 7.5/10
Some of my favorite scenes from each movie:

I saw Hanna. I thought it was a really good movie. Great action scenes, funny, and interesting soundtrack by the chemical brothers.
Watch it.
Chronicle. Solid movie, nothing exceptional but I did love how creepily realistic the whole thing was. 8/10
ghost rider 3d: .05/10
this is the worst movie i've ever seen. wtf?!
Mission impossible: Ghost protocol
I've never really been a fan of Mission impossible, but I thought this one was the best. Extra plus for the finnish actor: Samuli Edelmann. I've seen the first and the second, but the third one was so boring that I've never watched the whole movie.
Ghost Protocol is the first MI film I'd watched in at least four years. I vaguely remember watching the second one, but I didn't remember a thing about it.
Memento - it was one of the best movies i have ever seen.I love how its paced and i almost felt like the protagonist. Just wow!
'Sucker Punch' at a friends house, I never wanted to watch it, but he did, so he bought it that day. Me and three others watched it. My thoughts: It was like a massive music video, and the only way to enjoy it is to be drunk or like mindless films. I enjoyed the experience, but that's because of who I was with, so it was more fun watching it. Not sure if I could watch it alone though.
Memento is so so good! I wish I could watch it again with someone who hasn't seen it yet :)
Mine's the woman in black; With Daniel Radcliffe, or how do you spell his name? He had to play a father in the movie so that wasn't really convincing (I still see him as 11 y old Harry Potter!). There were pretty scary moments in the film but overall I didn't like it that much....
