Yeah having one map to choose from kind of sucks. But what sucks even more is that you can't choose custom skins.
Man I played the demo for about 2 hours and I love it! The alien is definitely the most fun to play as imo but I kicked a lot of ass with the marine, and you gotta love the iconic pinging noise from the motion tracker when something gets close to you. Aliens scare the shit out of me in dark corridors, since the flashlight kinda sucks, lol. The predator is real fun too, especially if you get the smart disk or the plasma caster.
I didn't like that when the host quits then its game over for everybody, which will be a pain in the ass on ranked matches when the game comes out. Plus I had a host quit on me 4 times in a row. And I agree with you slayer, they should have had at least one more skin to choose from.
At least this demo will keep me busy till the game comes out.

A lot of people don't seem to like the demo too well...
It's pretty much a console port. And console porting on the computer is pretty much a fail game.
Well that sucks. It seems PC players get jipped a lot nowadays. I still think the sells are going to be good though because I'm having a blast on xbox. I might need to start talking to people on there and seeing how there liking it.
Ha Ha, I just played with my brother who "wasn't looking forward to this game" and me and him teamed up on everybody with predators, he is now going to be buying the game release lol.

For instance, I've noticed that most Predators who do well go for their equipment, which is smart, of course, but alot just spam the plasma caster, which is easy to dodge since it auto tracks, just bob and weave.
Personally, I think aliens are a pain because their so damn fast. They will strike you in the front and scurry behind you and stab you before you can do anything.
Plus, imo again, I think most people just bitch because they suck at first so they just give up and go back to Call of Duty, before they really give the game a chance. It even says that the demo doesn't reflect the final game so they will probably be some changes and patches made.
But I'm one to talk, I'm a fan of the AvP series (hence the Predator avatar) and I probably would have liked the game even if it did suck.
Oh, Leviatahon, you should be able to go to the xbox marketplace, then game demos then new releases and it should be there. If not, then go to browse demos.

It was fun, being alien is a little dizzing at first with all the wall walking, it can make some people nauseous so don't play alien if you get motion sickness lol..
Alien is the best class IMO...fast, dark can walk on anything and leap far and fast and he has a long dangerous tail and all that fun stuff.
I didn't get a chance to be a Predator but faced a few and let me tell you, they are SO badass in this game and even posed a large challenge for me as an alien to kill.
As a marine, wow this game really shines...very hard to track predators but aliens are pretty easy to kill with precise aiming.
I think its balanced well also, definately a game to BUY!
Phew this game looks brilliant! Five days till it comes out on xbox... can't wait. :)

Despite the mixed reviews im going to get it, the complaints i've heard from reviewers are quite stupid complaints, here are a few:

campaigns sucked because the reviewer got stuck at 1 part where aliens spawn alot and are hard to kill so he kept dying and replaying the mission, well is the game supposed to be easy? no...
did this shithead reviewer play the original? that game was like 1,000 times harder then any game ive played.

Stupid reviewers = bad influence, it causes people to not buy games because some dumb idiot said it was bad.
If I were to give a review based on the demo I would give it a:
7.8/10
5.6 is just a really harsh low score for such a fun game.
the reviewer also said the graphics were 'terrible', to me they look better than gta4's graphics and better than call of duty's...thats not 'terrible' imo.
Game informer sucks.
Yeah I liked Game Informer until I saw that review. It really made me mad when I saw Gamespot gave the game a low score like GI did, which was a 5.5. That reviewer had mainly the same complaints as the GI dude also.
I really don't see anything wrong with demo. People say the controls are bad but I haven't had one problem with it. It might take a match or two to get the feel of the game but the controls are not hard at all. Not to mention, for a game with three completely different playing styles, the game is extremely balanced.
And, imo too, I think the graphics are amazing. Ripping someones head off in a game has never felt so real to me lol.
Yeah, I don't know what the problem with the radar noise was, that's the nose it made in the films, and (if you've seen the films) it adds a much greater level of authenticity.
The demo is freakin' sweet by the way. I especially enjoy playing as the Alien. One thing I noticed though, the person playing as a predator seems to win nearly every time. The couple of times I played as it, I won. It owns the Alien in close combat no problemo. :S
predator isn't that overpowered really, if you hold L and R 1 on ps3 or the l and r non trigger buttons you can block the predators slash attack and then counter even as a marine, i like the melee system, I was just playing as marine and blocked an aliens slash and whacked it with my gun and shot it in the head, boom kill!
fun game imo, any reviewer who says any different are on some asshole companies biased payroll and should have their consoles smashed.
I think the problem is that too many people don't have the melee system down-pat yet. Countless times I've been an alien or predator and when I start slashing at guys, instead of them blocking my attacks, they try to back up which causes them to die. Or I'll block an alien/predator light attack, melee them on their ass, then kill them time and time again. Its like no one know hows to block yet. This game is really balanced imo. I've kicked a lot of ass and won a lot of matches with each species.
And I love the noise the motion tracker makes. It get me paranoid cause I always think theres something going to pop out around the corner lol.
Of course as the days pass more people will learn the controls and the matches will be a bit more challenging. I hope my brother comes over here soon with my game :).
