Ok, this made me think "WTF??". I didn't read much of the last part, but as for education "bombarding" school kids with homosexual references, I think it's BS. When are you going to find a question in maths related to homosexuality? There's probably a 1:100 chance. Are males not allowed to take the leading role in parenting? GAH!!

There's also stuff on religioun and drugs as well, but I didn't read much of that. This isn't usually my thing, but once I saw I got a little angry. I'm focusing on the school part though, since I'm in S4 (aka grade 11? I think?) in highschool and I have to say, in maths, science and geography I am not bombarded with homosexuality. The questions relate to everything. Race, gender, favourite type of food.... Why not homosexuality? If I got an exam paper, and it asked something like "what percentage of homosexuals move to the city?" with a pie chart, I wouldn't think "OMG! HOMOSEXUALITY!? What?? Help!? I'm overwhelmed! WHAT IS THIS??" *brainwashed*.

Getting these questions shouldn't matter. I've known what being gay is for as long as I can remember. Along with sex, abortion, pregnancy, death... And I couldn't care less if my teacher comes up to me and asks what a bloody seahorses parenting role is.

Ahh.... Maybe I'm getting this all wrong, as this isn't my thing as I've said. Maybe there's something between the lines. But whatever, the way it comes across to me is that she's being rediculous.

What are your thoughts?

Anything that mentions "the gay agenda" is the first few sentences is not a legitimate argument.

Oh. Daily Mail. No wonder. I don't think they'd know journalistic integrity if it punched them in the nose.

I think homosexuality should be frowned upon but not illegal, and these guys encouraging it, at a too younger age. Its ok to teach them around grade 6-7 (ages 12-13) when people start getting sexual tendencies, but those children are just too young

Flagged the video for "hateful or abusive content" > "promoting hatred towards" > "protected group = sexuality" since the uploader went as far as to say that homosexuality itself and accepting gays is "ungodly" and implied that it's destroying the moral fiber of our society. Then shouldn't children be barred from seeing or hearing heterosexual references as well? It's not like simply telling a kid that it's possible for a person to be attracted to someone of their own gender will turn them gay.

It's not like teachers are telling students to go out and have sex with someone of their own gender, they're simply telling them that there's nothing unnatural about a man to falling in love with another man or a woman falling in love with another woman.

Hetrosexual is the natural course humans have been taking since thier appearance (exceptions are presence). I think you will find a lot of younger girls tend to want to live with their best friend when they're older, in a 1990's education environment they will earn that's not normal, and will both fund boyfriends and Have kids. However in our education they will be told it is perfectly normal to be together, they will then sexually experiment together and most likely then live together. What's wrong with that you ask? Homosexuals carry more diseases then strait people. In the 1980's 100 people in my state where killed because a gays were giving blood and giving the patient diseases. Gays are now banned from giving blood where i live. STI's are a lot more common in the gay/Lesbian community, have you told the kids that as well?

This is hardly an argument for anything. Kids are not being told to be gay, kids are told that being gay is okay. Basically somebody estimated that a lot of people walk around being miserable, because they have to stay in the closet, in order to conform to the norm and all that. We also have a lot of people who are making the lives of homosexuals miserable. These two things have to be handled in some way, and the simplest way is awareness.
Additionally, the idea that STDs transfer more easily between homosexuals is stupid. An STD is just as likely to transfer between a heterosexual couple as a homosexual couple. It depends on the way they're doing it, to be blunt.

Seems a bit weird to me. We never covered race distribution in the UK in Geography for example so I don't see why we'd cover 'gay distribution'. And I can't imagine any way to wheedle this into an exam question without it seeming ridiculous any more than an exam question on the median musical taste of black people would seem ridiculous, and indeed encouraging stereotyping.

I absolutely agree with this, but then the US is a special case. They are particularly far behind in the tolerance department, compared to the rest of the western world. Rising awareness at a fundamental level is a great idea, though they're probably taking the wrong approach.

Non sequitur fallacy. You see female roommates living together all the damn time. Literally tens of thousands in university systems alone. They view it as perfectly normal to live together, but do the vast majority of them sexually experiment with each other? No. If they do, then so what? And if they do, then they aren't having sex with anything they aren't already attracted to. Living together with someone of the same gender will not make you gay.

Homosexuals and heterosexuals are equally susceptible to STD's. Improving education on STD's and homosexuality is one way to cut back and prevent them. This is no reason, at all, why you or anyone else should "discourage" homosexuality. By the way, how exactly do you plan to discourage them? Bullying? Teasing? Shunning them from social circles until they act straight? Use their orientation as a basis for job selection (read: discrimination)? Fucking up their lives so bad that they commit suicide? And whose fault is that? The gay people, who were unaware of their diseases and were only trying to help, or the people who drew the blood without any tests? A straight person could have just as easily given contaminated fluids, and it does happen. And again, what the hell does frequency of STI's have anything to do with this? There are treatments and protections available. If you're going to use STI's as any sort of argument for your position, then all sex should be discouraged/banned because there will always be a risk, no matter who your partner is. Jesus Christ. Perhaps instead of treating a minority like shit, you should help build them up and actually help them.

If every human's sole purpose for existing in this world was to leave behind genetic offspring, then I could understand why homosexuality would seem bad or unnatural. Luckily, I don't know too many people with such a mentality. Besides, there's always artificial insemination. Not to mention that homosexuality has been observed in a variety of species in the animal kingdom.

If you know anyone with this perspective, I would encourage you to encourage them to sit down and make an effort to understand evolutionary biology. It sound's like a profound misunderstanding of it to me.

Judging by some of the weird things you've said in the science forum, I have a feeling Aquanina understands evolution a hell of a lot better than you do. In order for survival of the species enough of them to sustain the population have to reproduce. Not all of them. I'll bet there are a lot more childless straight people out there then there are homosexuals. I don't plan on ever having children.
