This is what it said in the article. From this I gather that Obama will raise taxes on the rich. I don't have any problem with this. But I don't know how valid this article actually is. It seems to me like both candidates want a larger federal government, so I'm not voting for either of them.

Personally, I would be very happy if one of the candidates, Republican or Democrat, had more states rights as one fo their major platforms. (Although it wouldn't seem characteristic of the democratic party.)

But mccain supports things like the war on drugs, war on terror. These are policies that cause problems and don't in any way solve the problem the were created to solve. People will always use drugs and as long as there are opressive governments there will be terrorism. This is what I meant when I say that mccain supports large government.

His tax plan is on him website, yes he will tax the wealthy and cut taxes on the middle class.

I'll take your word for it. I'm not voting fo him because I think he wants to make change by increasing the influence of the government in peoples lives. This is not the kind of change we need. We need to drastically cut the size of the federal government, and I don't think either candidate will do anything like that. At the very least we need to stop this war on drugs garbage.

But I think that obama will win. Not that I want him to, but at least he has a plan to get us out of Iraq.

If you don't like either nominees then vote for the lesser of two evils. The tax plans have been dissected over and over and OVER again. It boils down to this...(as ninja said) Obama will increase taxes for family's making $250,000+ a year and decrease them for the middle class. McCain's middle class tax cut on the other hand pails in comparison to Obama's. Seeing as when the numbers are run, his middle class tax cut cuts less than HALF the amount that Obama's would. And what pisses me off is that he says Obama's tax cut will raise taxes and his will drop them lower. Don't take anybody's word for it. Google is your friend, visit both nominees websites and study the material arduously, watch CNN, etc. Instead of just saying we need to shrink the federal reserve (and probably try and support Ron Paul) get active in what your country is doing NOW and whose running for the ultimate seat of power NOW.

I think Ron paul has a chance in 2012 so I'm supporting him now as I think it will have an effect on the next election. I don't support the policies of either of the 2 candidates so I can not vote for them. Voting is not about the lesser of 2 evil, it's about choosing someone who can actually run the country and do what needs to be done as president. I don't think barack or jon are fit to run a country.

I'd vote for Obama if he was willing to drill while we wait for alternative fuels that haven't yet matured enough for primetime. And if he supported nuclear power.

It's a win-win for the environmental and alternative fuels crowd. Fuel prices are too high. Electric cars still have a way to go before there's a kind of battery/capacitor that can be charged in a short time and last a long time. Once we have electric cars, power them on clean and efficent nuclear power grids and keep the oil for the plastics, farm equipment, and jets.

This windfall profits tax policy of his is the most asinine and socialist thing i ever heard. Go ahead, take from those bad evil rich people! You do also know that the tax gets passed right on down to the pump, right?

Drill, drill, drill. Drill through ANWR. It's not going to hurt anything. Drill in the gulf. Get us off the towelhead dictators' oil so we can bring prices down and allow the alternative technologies to mature. They're a good five, ten years off WITH space age-like dedication in the industry.

So, I will vote for McCain. Not exactly his energy policy, but he's willing to provide incentives for alternative fuels, supports nuclear power, and will drill.

Need I add it's also bad foreign policy to meet with our enemies unconditionally.
