I dreamed I was calling a demon's name

hi guys. new to this site. well anyway, I had this dream where I was mind-calling this demon's name "Abalam" or something (this dream was 1 month ago). Ugh it's so scary, even now I'm thinking about it. Anyway, so I dunno if I was actually half-awake or just dreaming about it, but I swear I will never do that on purpose. I think that happened like twice or thrice consecutively. But didn't happen again. So yea. Any thoughts? Please cite examples if you have! Thanks! :)

It's just a dream. I don't think you should worry about. And try not to think about that dream before sleeping so you don't encounter it again.

You know, this could be an epic lucid idea. Things will never hurt you in an LD because as long as your imagination permits it, you can be infinitely powerful. You can "think" a monster dead. Try re-exploring this "Abalam" and maybe turning it into a good dream. Conjure it up, and ride it into the sunset slaying epic demons. Or even make it a dream goal and slay this demon, to conquer your fears.

The human mind is endless. Use your imagination, friend.

you watched sinister to many times

Sounds pretty creepy. I had a same like experience with a nightmare figure in my dreams. I kept thinking about it during the day, but the best is if you don't do that. Those things will make you go nuts.

You may have an ancestral connection to this demon. Demons are known to be evil but most bring long lasting wealth and well being to families. But not without a price. Look him up and see what you can find and don't be alarmed this could be a mere coincidence.

Ps, I meant few, not "most". "most" just feed on human torment and fear.

It could be a coincidence or just a weird occurance in a dream, but I would not dabble into this without having more information and I would most defenatly try not to think about this or overthink it right before going to sleep.
If you are interested in practicing the demon-slaying idea in a lucid, I would suggest making one up, contrary to using an archetype that allready exists.

I googled Abalam and turns out hes apart of christian demonology. That is one messed up dream

I've got a friend who's connected to a couple demons. He's not in any way a bad person. The thing is is that the demons that connect to him aren't from this plane. He usually just talks to them and incorporates them into his life when they 'need to get out'.
They may be on more friendly terms because some volunteered to enter his mind and poke around and one was even trapped for awhile so they got personal. Now they just sort of stop by and see how he's doing. They invite him to planes to do 'missions' on occassions, but mostly they like his mind and find it a sort of haven.
Not all demons are bad. I wouldn't know details since I'm not him and I've yet to meet any, but his seem rather tame. I would not use this example as an excuse to let your guard down. Do research, figure out what he wants if he even wants any thing and watch your back should he come poking around. But don't be quick to fire the gun just yet.

I have to say, I've recently had a dream of demonic possession. I did not, however, to my recollection call upon any such demon to enter me! I am a spiritual person, and anyone who knows me would say I am a benevolent person.

The dream:

I was entering a lobby room coming up the staircase, immediately i felt a specifically uncomfortable tingling and I could feel my face become distorted. I immediately looked at a group of my own friends all sitting on a bench and angrily and obsessively shouted "None of you ever look at me again!!!" in a monstrous voice. I then walked out of the room and down the hall. I had a strange sense of unusual spontaniety - I shouted upon seeing computer monitors and keyboards in the trash. I proceeded into my old roomate's room and he told me he was concerned that I was clean from carrots for 2 weeks. I spontaneously shouted back that I had been clean for 4 weeks and began to perform strange body movements and laugh with my head thrown back and face distorted again.

The circa-dream experiences
I haven't watched any demon related movies etc. for a long while, so I know it was not that. The next night I had a very anxious "encounter:" I lie in bed trying to sleep and I begin to have difficulty breathing, I feel my heart beat so intensely it's as if I'm going to explode in a bloody mess. I'm so dizzy I can't see straight, then I feel tense and my whole body begins to ache. I was unsure about the whole demon visit thing until I felt pain throughout my arms, legs and an extremely uncomfortable pressure on my chest. I asked god for help, straight up, out loud - what else was there to do in this situation? I tried my best to maintain a sense of connection to god and any benevolent guardian that I may have, and within seconds I was lying in bed completely relaxed. I even slept and dreamt of pleasant things, not exactly sure what though, I don't remember. Then I had a third night of 'demonic discomfort' when I found myself moving in a very strange way in my bed. My body motions were precise down to finger gestures and it was some sort of rhythmic articulation (no, not masturbating lol). It was happening without my intent! I didn't even know how to do those motions. I had a very peculiar moment of suddenly waking from a dull state that was very unlike sleep. I sensed I was being not necessarily forcefully controlled, but rather subversively suggested in some vague way to perform this action. I also had a strong sense that I really really really shouldn't do it anymore and that it would somehow let this thing control me more. At this point I was lying with eyes wide open trying to maintain clear conciousness and denying any type of external control or subversion. I was pretty uptight about it, I stayed up almost all night praying.

The next morning I promptly decided to head to the library and do much reading and internet searching on the subject - I found good information. I read that people who are possessed often report the experience of pressure on their chests just as I had. I also read that this type of thing only happens when you allow it to.

So don't worry, I know interdimensional spirits can seem scary, but there's nothing to be afraid of. I was nervous initially because I felt I had been taken over and I was out of control, but this will never be true, UNLESS you allow it - there's plenty of research out there to back that up too. Throw out all your ideas about demons from pop culture movies and do your own diligent research. Demons (aka spirits, jinn, lwa, etc) are not inherently evil. However some nonphysical entities are malicious and they will take advantage of you if you let them. Stay vigilant by avoiding moments of numbed conciousness par example alcohol intoxication, inner ignorance, etc. Their mode of attack is psychological, and they will use your own thoughts to manipulate you. I have a sense that one is most vulnerable when being psychospiritually ignorant. Anyway, I stronly encourage you to pray and meditate on this subject however works best for you. Guardian angels will always protect you, but if you yourself allow spirits inside, there's no stopping them until you decide. Not that I'm saying you've been possessed or anything, but I believe calling on a majorly powerful demon warrants at least some research. Look into it, analyze it, describe it, talk about it, figure it out - absolutely DO NOT IGNORE IT! It is crucial that you face your dream fears. They are your own psychological maladies and facing them is the only way to overcome them. I'm completely against you doing anything about this that doesn't involve careful analysis and risk prevention. Just stay cool, be brave, play it safe and remember that any tribulation you may be having is for the sake of progress. Let us know what (if anything) happens! I'd love to know. Also, describing your emotions more can help others to understand your description significantly better. I've worked through my issue and I know you can too. Good luck!

Paimon is abalam

According to The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the King, Paimon is one of the Kings of Hell, more obedient to Lucifer than other kings are, and has two hundred (one hundred to other authors) legions of demons under his rule. He has a great voice and roars as soon as he comes, speaking in this manner for a while, until the conjurer compels him and then he answers clearly the questions he is asked. When the conjurer invokes this demon he must look towards the northwest (the west to other authors), for there is where he has his house, and when Paimon appears he must be allowed to ask what he wishes and be answered, in order to obtain the same from him.[citation needed]
