How to wake up and stop sleep paralysis?

So I've been having a few dreams recently where I know I'm dreaming yet can't wake up. I think what I'm having is called false awakenings because I'll wake up in my bedroom and it'll all seem normal until it doesn't and I know I'm dreaming. Yet as much as I try and get back into bed or something to wake up it doesn't happen. When I try and wake up it feels like I'm fighting against something. Screaming and shouting in my dream that I'm awake, feeling a lot of pressure and stuff. Then usually I'll awake into sleep paralysis, which is just the worst thing. I'll usually feel things on me. I've learned to keep my eyes closed and stay as calm as possible as fighting it just makes it worse. I really hate this. It makes me scared to go to sleep sometimes. Any tips on how to wake up out of my dreams and how to end sleep paralysis?

Try scrunching up your face. Smiling hard. Make extreme faces. Works for me.

Waking up, shouldn't be that hard. Try to activate your mind, do some hard math problems, or recite your lineage for several generations, or recite the periodic table or something. Do these things quickly too, your sure to either to wake up or to become so in control of your dream you won't want to. Basically you can't remain asleep if your brain is too active. (of course you may not remember any advice when in a dream he he :)

as for Sleep Paralysis, don't try to move large body parts, your Arms, Legs, Shoulders, Neck, Waist all useless :) so instead try to do something like wiggle the tips of your fingers or your toes, they should respond immediately (and of course you will remember advice easily in sleep paralysis because your mind will pretty much be wide awake :)

This might be a situation in which trying too hard will just make failure more likely. You want to wake up so badly that your mind creates that experience in the form of a dream, while you aren't sleeping lightly enough to really wake up that easily.

The problem seems like it might be fear. If this happens again, you might want to remind yourself that there's nothing to be afraid of since the dream is all in your mind. If you aren't interested in lucid dreaming, a better tactic might be to try to stop panicking, engage in the environment and you'll probably forget you're dreaming soon enough.

What helped me was realizing what it was. Once I realized what it was and not something supernatural, it took away a lot of the fear. I had it with visual/ auditory hallucinations as well as the paralysis, and painful sensations all over my body.

Now it seems when I catch it, I find after I am able to move (wiggling toes helps I agree), getting up to the bathroom seems to be enough to help snap my body out of it. It seems almost all cases, when I do go, I am surprised how bad I really had to go. I realize now that my sleeping ability shuts off when my bladder gets full. So far it appears my body does not shut off that process in sleep like it should. I get yanked out of sleep at some point, lay in my bed for a while then realize where I need to go. It is annoying to have to wake up fully throughout the night, but at least I've not had to suffer nearly as much SP since.

Light SP episodes: If I can just stay through it, I eventually go back into dreaming again. But if I can't and it just keeps going on and on, then the above seems to be the only way to break it.

False awakenings: I'm still battling those periodically. It is so real I am tricked into thinking I am awake, until I realize I just can't comprehend what I am doing, don't feel like I am in the real world. Like I am floating, then bam, dream scene. I was sleeping that I woke up the whole time. It also seems to happen more when I am focused on trying to remember a particular event in a dream. Also once again there are scenes suggesting to me, my body wants me to wake up for the bathroom again.
