Uberman 8 is a variation of polyphasic sleep cycle. it consists of 8 chunks of 20 minute sleep in a 24-hour period.
Normal Uberman is already the most feared by the polyphasic-sleep community :) so I guess this is the harshest model to adapt to.
would a nap-only schedule make me go blank and 0 dreams? would REM rebound kick in more and more?
Will I have "8 chances" a day to lucid dream? i would need a huge sacrifice to adapt to uberman-8. i want to know,if its worth it
Our bodies are not made for a polyphastic sleep schedule. Your circadian rhythm, which rises and falls consistently and does not change or adapt, would make it difficult to adapt to such a schedule, and I do not personally believe it would be healthy especially if you're only getting 160 minutes of sleep a day. That said, I am not sure the exact effect it would have on your dreams. I know when you take a midday nap you usually go directly into REM sleep but if your sleep schedule is consisting of only naps your body will have to get its NREM somewhere. Whether your body would default into REM or NREM during these napping phases I'm not sure. I have a feeling it would significantly inhibit your dreaming, but I can't say for sure.

I very much agree. I am in the middle of it right now and reading all about how sleep works and how important it is to get proper sleep has made me super conscious about my own sleep habits as well as my friends and family's. I love it so far.Quote:
