It is wonderful to have expectations which will push us to the very limits of possibility, but also inherently frustrating. The vividness of dreams has something to do with a kind of consciousness energy that is almost substantial – one can feel it wax and wane, ebb and flow. What we ordinarily experience is the ‘normal’ amount of this energy. This is what allows us to remember our dreams at all, that they were tossed up with enough energy to be perceptible. Yes, every so often, by whatever economics the psyche was able to save up a charge of this energy, some great burst is given to us, for what become our Big Dreams or our special Lucid Dreams. Can we expect this every night? Well, not ordinarily. You would have to be doing something that would generate more of this energy then is generally common. You have people on this site talking about special diets and special herbs. There are Yogic Techniques, breathing exercises, even prayers and mantras. And they may all increase the Base Level of this Consciousness Energy, and increase the frequency of Big Dreams… but everynight!?
