Is blurry text for all? And why does it happen?
To me this is something I have been thinking about for a while as I learn more and more about LD'ing. I read that somewhere that most people can't see text, or when they do it's blurred or distorted, however this makes no sense to me because it a flipped version of what we do everyday.
Think of a city sign signifying the streets.
Now, when I ask you to describe a sign you would say "It said blah, blah, blah, ect" and it was the green one. What confuses me is why is it that the things you remember most about text are not actually jumbled or replaced. It seems as though you wouldn't say "the green and silver sign, about 3 feet tall, located 10 ft off the ground and I don't remember what it said"
Do id say this photo (or "dream") would have thousands and thousands of shades of colors and details that you see everyday, but don't care about. So why is it that text is usually not seen, and even at that, think about clocks! Everyone has seen a clock, yet clocks just happen to not work in dreams?
And at that, why blurred? Why not jumbled letters or numbers? It seems like that would make sense, but blurred/distorted lines just seems to specific and it seems like your brain isn't even trying to remember a sign you have seen like that before (thus attempting to put letters there.)
I don't really know I'm saying here, it could be something completely off and just something I'm acting crazy about, but is there some sort of basis for this?
