The ninety minute dreaming thingy...
I heard of a method to improve dream recall, and the ability to go lucid that involved setting your alarm clock to wake you at ninety minute intervals, as this is when you are most likely to be in a period of REM sleep, and coming out of a dream, therefore making them easier to remember, and increasing your chances of getting back into the dream.
I have a problem: I tried this experiment last night, woke myself up after the first 90 minutes, and couldn't remember anything i'd dreamt. so i set the clock again, to go off in a further 90 minutes. However, this time when it went off, i just reached over, shut it off and went back to sleep!! And still no dreams!
When i woke at 8am this morning, i knew i'd been dreaming, but my recall was hazier than ever.
Does anyone have any tips on how to discipline yourself to do this, and not allow your sleepy brain to take over?
I'm sure this could work for me, i'm looking to try the WBTB theory, so that i can close my eyes, and jump straight into a lucid dream, rather than wait to be in a dream and realise it.
Thanks in advance!
