Hi Matt welcome to dreamviews :)
you know it might takes some time before you get your first lucid dream:S Even for me... right now it's been over a month since I had my last fully lucid dream.
just keep working on it will work. Since you are a beginner you should try the wake back to bed technique (WBTB) I had my first lucid dream with this technique.
don't forget to keep a dream journal it is very important (you know one of the great things about dream is that they do not need to be lucid to be fun...)
Good luck frederom.
It's all about knowing you're dreaming whilst still in the dream. This is very possible and you need to believe that you CAN do this. Start by improving your dream recall by writing down your dreams in a Dream Journal. Read about the different techniques but the main one most people focus on in the begining is the DILD one. Go around and do Reality Checks a few times an hour and you're on your way!
Look forward to becoming lucid when you go to bed, set up a goal and you should have one soon enough.
If you have more questions, feel free to ask them here on in a PM.
Keep on dreaming!
But the Thing is it takes me like till 1:30 am to get to bed and then when i do finally get to bed my dream is blurry until i get awoken by my alarm clock at 7:00am then go back to bed the time i go back to bed i actually start to dream and when i do i write it in my dream journal but i can never remember 1 fragment of the story weather it be start middle or end like for instance the dream i just woke up from i was like in my computer for some reason doing this hot air balloon thing i recognized only 1 person in that and it wasn't only a hot air balloon thing i just couldn't remember the start or middle thats why i need help what can i do to improve my sleeping and remembering and yes Ive tried i will remember my dream that dost work for me
your not the only one having a hard time remembering.
for this i really learned what patience means.
after a week my recall got better and i remembered more of the dreams i had
so just believe you can and have patience
unfortunately my dream recall is slipping due the fact that i have a really busy life so i can't concentrate enough on dreaming.
but im pretty confident that i will have a lucid in some time!
just believe that you can!
Go to bed earlier, keep a regular sleeping pattern and screw with it from time to time with REM-rebounds and oversleeping. ALWAYS try to remember your dreams when you wake up and don't give up right away. Let yourself almost fall back asleep when you try to remember, this will trigger your dream memory.
Improving your dream recall takes alot of time for some people, but once you're on your way, it won't be as hard :)
