My LDs range from a few minutes to up to 40 minutes each. However, it seems my LDs come in clusters. I will go for extended periods of time with no LDs and then will have a night with 3+ LDs
If you chain them all together with the false awakenings, maybe a couple of hours is my record.
The ones when I was younger adnd didnt know about Lucdi dreaming and such were about a minute. But now that i know the two ive had have only been a couple of seconds long.
Mine usually last for about 6 hours......well, it is only 1 big one, anyways.
6 Hours? Do you mean in perceived dream time? That's a long time. Mine are typically between 2 minutes to up to 10 minutes at the most. I try spinning and relaxing to prolong the length, but sometimes I have no control. nesgirl119, what's your personal technique to continue your duration of your lucids for so long? I don't imagine they were always as such.
Well, I personally don't have one. I know that they last for 6 hours at the shortest b/c when I tell myself to wake up in a LD, I wake up usually 6 hours later, but if someone wakes me up b4 those 6 hours are up, I hope they have a death wish! :mad:Quote:

 6 hours? If i could lucid dream for 6 hours I wouldnt be on these forums. my lucid dreams any where from 10 - 40 seconds. lol Still working on em.
Anywhere from 1second to 10 minutes or so. Usually my lucidity deteriorates or I deliberately wake up to write the dream down :P
My longest lucid dream to date was about 51 minutes (exactly measured) :). However it was very fuzzy, unclear and I pushed it to continue for as long as I could...
:wtf: Excuse me?Quote:

:tomato: Take that!
nesgirl, I must say I dont believe it's possible :P
Try doing WILD and staying lucid for 6 hrs, and report back your findings :P
if you will still able to LD for even 2 hours , I'll erect a shrine to your name and will pray to you for guidance :D
I am going to make a WILD story on my website.....it is true, b/c I have done this since I was 3!!! http://pub39.bravenet.com/forum/3272949932/show/403523Quote:

The problem with long lucid dreams is that you can start forgetting parts of it or go into false awakenings and stuff. I would say my longest lucid dream I have had without starting to forget stuff is about 10 minutes. I think I have had them up to 30 minutes though. One problem is it can be really hard to tell time in a dream. You might do one thing for 20 minutes or do 30 things in 2 minutes. Clocks dont give the right time in dreams so I can't really say for sure heh.
well my very longest lucid seemed like it had to last at least 12 hrs, because I had many F/A (like 10) and they each lasted a very long time, 12 hrs is prolly only how long it seemed because I distinctly rememeber going to get on my bike and then suddenly being by it, but my mind had imagined me running to it.... so the dream could have only lasted for 30 mins but it really felt like 2 days, but now that Iv thought about it im only giving it 12 hrs tops,
Iv heard of a few other people who have had this, but I think its just that you see images and your mind makes you believe that you did something :P hard to explain :(
My longest felt like a week in dream time, but it was prolby about 100 mins long or maby just a little bit more. It was sort of liek a movie where days wnet past.
And Nes girl is confused/werid/ differnet...what ever.. so her experinces are either delusions/misperception/lies/"unique"
Are you calling me a liar?! :mad:Quote:

I don't know how anyone can know how long their dreams last. I know at what time I go to sleep and and what time I wake, but because dream time/sleep time is warped, I can't really tell fer sher. I've had dreams for a couple minutes that seemed like hours and I've had dreams for "short periods" that were actually longer than I thought... I would guess mine run anywhere from 2 or 3 minutes to an hour or so.
No Nesgirl im not calling you a liar. Im just really trying to keep all of the options open to me, beacse f i didnt i think id really be mean, and I dotn wnat to be. I just get a wierd feelign from you so im not gogin to be an ass or anything, but Im just going to say all options that I could possible think of that i culd fele about your situation. Fair enough?

Why do you get a weird feeling from me?
I envy some of you guys--my longest was like a minute, most are just several seconds, me rusing to do something and then waking up :(
Maybe someday... :)
Had about a 15-20 minute lucid dream it was completly amazing, I will post about it in the next few days, its wirtten down in my DJ.Quote:

hmmm longest? 10 seconds. this morning i had one that lasted almost 3 seconds WOOHOO!!!
10 seconds :bravo:
I was so happy when I had my long one.
Howetzer the Great had just told me about looking at your hands for dream stability and the next night I used the technique very often to give me a dream that seemed to me to be atleast a half an hour. I'm so glad!
Sometimes like 5 minutes, longest might have been 20 minutes.
My more vivid ones start fady and then materialize into vivid ones which I feel the reality. They tend to last longer.
Usually only an about 15 seconds. But the last time I remembered to relax and it was over a minute but still I was not totally convinced I was in a dream. What I mean by that is even though I was relaxed my doubts that I could do things like fly held me back from being totally lucid.
my dreams may last forever, but from the few lds i had, i know my lds last only a few seconds.
maybe its because i didnt know much about lds when I had them.
My non-lucid dreams last for a very long time, but my lucid dreams only last a few minutes.
hard to tell because i generally slip into being lucid well after ive gone to sleep (i think) but i would say about 10 or 20 minutes averege i think ive gotten close to an hour, if you mean percevied time a little over a year
Based on what I have read, R.E.M. phases get longer and longer with each sleep cycle during an episode of sleep. R.E.M. phases max at one hour. That means that a lucid dream can't last longer than an hour, but according to people on this site who have put some very wishful thinking into my head, percieved time in a dream can be as long as 100 years. Somebody last December talked here about how he lived a full life time, watching his dream children grow up day by day and everything, in one lucid dream. Hmmmmmm..... :?:
