After a lucid dream, I always feel excited and invigorated the next day, sometimes with more energy than I normally have. I think it's because I enjoyed getting to do something cool or fascinating in the dream. There's nothing differentiating LDs from normal dreams except for the fact that you're conscious in them (and can control what's happening), so there's no biological reason to feel tired after having one.
see i tried last night to WILD as i woke in the middle of the night i remembered not to move, nothing happened but i felt different, like i knew i had been dreaming but could not remember it, normally the thought would be...... well everyone dreams so i must not have remembered but this was more.... i DID dream i just cant remember anything today i felt great and it was the best sleep ive had in weeks, any suggestions?
I'm assuming you woke up after about 5 hours of sleep, in which case you'd be in REM, the period of time during sleep when dreams are formed. Sometimes if you try to WILD, you can drift off and fall asleep, in which case you'd dream.
If you had a WILD, there's almost a sure bet that you'd remember at least some detail of it, such as the transition from the waking state to being asleep.
To me, it sounds like you accidentally drifted off. I can't say for sure whether you had a lucid, as you can't remember any details except the feelings after waking up, but maybe you did - in this case, it would probably be a DILD, because you fell asleep when trying the WILD. You just need to work on your recall; you should remember things more as it improves. :)
I agree with puffin on how you feel after you wake up from a lucid dream. I hvae never been able to WILD on purpose, I always feel like I have to remember not to move which makes me want to move and keeps my mind awake
