Dream Recall HELP!
I have just recently decided to start my quest for lucid dreams and am fully intent on focussing on it for as long as i need to. I know the first step is to improve dream recall so that's what my focus is on for the time being.
Its just that right now my dream recall is literally nothing. I haven't remembered a dream for a good few years, I've had a dream journal (well a blank one) waiting right beside my bed for about 4 days now but every time i wake up i remember absolutely nothing. I don't know if it's because i don't think about it enough before dismissing it or if it's because I usually move instantly after waking or it could be something else entirely. Lots of places say to look back on earlier entries to start the mind thinking about dreaming, but the problem is i dont have any other entries to look back at.
Anyways some good tips for improving my recall would be very appreciated, hope i dont sound like im rambling. Thanks

Hey KMAC,
one of the things you've mentioned I've found to be a killer for recall, that's the moving. Try using a mantra for now to help this, something along the lines of "when I wake I will lay still with my eyes closed" that's a bit on the longer side but you get my drift! Honestly mate it's probably because youve just recently decided hey, my dreams are important! It may take a little longer just to jog your brain into remembering your dreams.
Once you have even a small fragment from a dream when waking, I've found by asking yourself simple questions helps you understand. For instance you remember a being in a bar, ok what did this bar look like? Was it night or day? Who were you with? How did you get to the bar etc etc.
Just keep at it and it will start to stick, don't lose faith and be positive, it's going to happen =].
Nito.
