How many people have Lucids with just DJ & RC?

How many people have had lucid dreams with just using the dream journal and the reality checks? I find the WILD's to scary to try, I wouldn't be able to keep calm if I hallucinated and can't seem to keep my mind free for 10 minutes and I was also wondering when doing Wild's if you have to keep your eyes closed?

and are Dild's when you wake up after several hours of sleep, close your eyes and picture the last dream you had, only this time you are Lucid in the dream. Sorry for all the questions:cheeky:

I haven't had any WILDs yet, I'm also a little scared of them but I want to overcome that and be able to do it so I practice it occasionally. But I would think you would keep your eyes closed, better for seeing the HI and such.

As for DILDs, they're basically just where you realize you are dreaming while you are currently in the dream, usually an epiphany where the dreamer just realizes "This is a dream!". What you might be thinking of is DEILD (Dream exit induced lucid dream) where as soon as you leave a dream, you stay motionless and try to fall back into the same dream or a new dream with the intention of being lucid in it.

I haven't had any successful WILD's so my methods are just using DJ and increasing my awareness during the day, with the occasional RC here and there if something out of the ordinary happens. So far I've only had a few short LD's but I'm mostly working on building up good recall before I focus too much on becoming lucid. Trying to take it in small steps so that I can achieve separate goals individually and not get frustrated and give up if I'm not getting lucid, which is what happened last time I tried to learn lucid dreaming.

I refuse to try WILD because I absolutely hate sleep paralysis.
I've been dream journaling for eight years and I've been lucid dreaming for a while now. I just started doing reality checks about a year ago and it helped sharpen my lucidity. I've never really done any kind of technique. I just sleep and dream.

I usually wake up during the night and have a fairly good dream recall, so I may try DEILD, but other than that I will just do RC's during the day and hope I have a DILD.
