Advice on combatting dry spells?

Early last week I got really busy with work, I guess the stress caused me to lose all dream recall and any chances of lucidity. The problem is, now that I'm no longer busy with work I can't seem to get my recall back and definitely not lucidity. I'm stuck with maybe remembering 1 lacklustre dream per night, if I'm lucky I'll get a fragment or two on top of that, whereas before I could easily remember at least 3 vivid dreams per night.

Thing is, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm doing all that I used to do, motivating myself and everything, I'm even still waking up at the end of each of my sleep cycles as I usually would, only I barely remember anything now.

Does anyone have any advice on how to kick this dry spell's ass?

It is possible that you are not waking near a REM cycle when your alarm goes off in the morning. You could try doing a WBTB. This will give you an extra chance to recall dreams, and some time to focus on your goals. Try to time it properly.

Nono, I never use an alarm. I wake up naturally multiple times throughout my sleep pattern and also do a WBTB naturally.

Whenever I get frustrated with lucid dreaming I like to just remind myself it's not a big deal, our frustration forms a mental block that stops us lucid dreaming. This is a great thread on the sort of mindset needed for lucid dreaming: http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/how-ta...eaming-120910/

So it turns out that I was trying too hard and getting too frustrated. I went to bed last night not really focusing on getting my dream recall back and managed to recall 6 dreams. Now to work on getting the lucidity back :D
