what am i doing wrong?
last night i gave MILD another shot. i was going to listen to binaural beats to fall asleep easier but i locked my ipod and cant remember the code.. plus i wouldnt have been able to download any.
so i went to bed repeating my mantra to myself mentally in time to my breathing. after a while i started thinking it after every second breath and so on until i fell asleep. (the mantra i was using was "i will realize im dreaming")
when i woke up in the morning i remembered having a dream that i got an iphone and i was trying to get binaural beats on it so i could have lucid dreams. -_-
im wondering if this is because my mantra was saying I WILL instead of I AM. should i use a diff

Using a mantra in the present tense is generally considered to be more effective. However, even that isn't 100% effective. MILD simply helps increase the chance of becoming lucid. In my opinion, reality checks are more important; RCs during the day combined with MILD at night should be more effective than just MILD.

Like fennecgirl said, MILD isn't going to always work by any means. Pertaining to the mantra, I have used I AM in the past and it has worked for me. I think they both can work, but I would use I AM.

I would consider repeating a shorter and more meaningful mantra like "I will Lucid Dream". I can never say long mantras for a while. They end up going from "I will Lucid Dream" to "I'll Loopid" and forget what I'm repeatedly saying, so I created a word I go by OGHO(Oh-Go) which defined is :To Lucid Dream or Astral Project at will.
