Using a mantra in the present tense is generally considered to be more effective. However, even that isn't 100% effective. MILD simply helps increase the chance of becoming lucid. In my opinion, reality checks are more important; RCs during the day combined with MILD at night should be more effective than just MILD. |

Like fennecgirl said, MILD isn't going to always work by any means. Pertaining to the mantra, I have used I AM in the past and it has worked for me. I think they both can work, but I would use I AM. |

"You Can't, You Won't And You Don't Stop"Lucid Goals: [Ask a DC: "Am I dreaming?"] [Ask a DC: "What are you?"]
I would consider repeating a shorter and more meaningful mantra like "I will Lucid Dream". I can never say long mantras for a while. They end up going from "I will Lucid Dream" to "I'll Loopid" and forget what I'm repeatedly saying, so I created a word I go by OGHO(Oh-Go) which defined is :To Lucid Dream or Astral Project at will. |
