I need help w / nightmares
I have had some medical problems over the last couple of months and to make a long story short my life has been like a nightmare that I hope to wake up from but don’t. The only hope that I thought I had was to Ld. But just about every morning when I return to sleep and hope to have a lucid dream, all I have is nightmares. I am reading Stephen LaBerge’s book of lucid dreaming and others a second time and recording my nightmares but not being lucid. I think it is preventing me from changing or taking control of the dream. Its been at lest 3 months now and no lucid dream.

Sorry to hear of your medical problems dreamtamer007. I hope you get them resolved.
I have had a strech of nightmares myself. I used them as a dreamsign. I turned it to my advantage.
Anytime that something gravely wrong was happening I became aware that I was dreaming do to the fact that I preset my notions to think along those lines.
How closely are your night mares compared to your real life turmoil?

They are not related to my waking life, only that they both, dream and waking life have a lot of stress and it causes me to be depressed from both worlds.

Well in this case it might be easier to distiguish between your nightmares and use them as a dream sign to become lucid.
And if you are able to become lucid you can face the fears head on with no reprecutions. Hopefully bettering your overall situation.
