Best induction technique for beginners?

Just wondering what the best induction method is for begginers?

For me I have only ever had a very short lucid dream where I realized I was dreaming and then woke up I have been trying for at least a month to acheive a lucid dream with no success :(

When I am attempting a FILD or SSLID I don't know what to "do" with my mind, like what to focus on. I also find it quite hard to not focus on anything.

So when you guys are attempting a FILD what do you focus on? And what do you think is the best method for someone starting out with lucd dreaming in terms of simplicity and easy to execute.

I would say DILD/MILD, just be patient, record all your dreams, do a good amount of Mindful reality checks per day, keep calm and confident and you will succeed. When you get lucid it's very important that you remember to remain calm (again), this is mandatory, immediately after you must try to anchor yourself/stabilize the dream. Also DEILD is not hard to accomplish so maybe if you feel yourself waking up too soon you can try and chain another LD easily as long as you don't move much and remain fairly relaxed.
I almost forgot, if you have no trouble falling asleep after waking up fully, WBTB is also very good especially for beginners.
This is just my opinion, you don't have to follow what I or anyone else says (obviously), find what works and go with it. In the end it all comes down to time and patience, sometimes it will come quicker, sometimes it will take a little bit more. Plant the seed and trust me, in time you will harvest for sure. ;)

Yes, DILD/MILD is recommended to start with. Practicing for these will also help you prepare for a little more advanced WILD.
