Lucid dreaming hype

I noticed that when i was younger i was always really excited for a lucid dream but now im like "If i have a lucid dream tonight, cool but if not, oh well" and i never feel like I WANT IT. So im wondering, what gets you into that excited,giddy mood to lucid dream? Also im also trying to wonder how do i remember to do RCs at school? I almost always forget intill right before bed when i get on the forums. But anyways if anyone has some cool things that they do/listen/watch/etc. to get into the lucid dream mood feel free to post them. :D *btw i've been watching the "GetLucid" podcasts but they seem to be stopping :(

For getting hyped on lucid dreaming, just write down or think about things that you enjoy doing when you lucid dream. Be it flying, or screwing around with your dream characters, or whatever you do when you lucid dream. Better yet, come up with a list of goals or things to do, and then try to complete as much of the list as possible.

As for remembering to reality check during the day (like at school) just write yourself little reminders. You don't even have to write "Reality Check", Just write like "RC" like in the corner of one of the pages of your notebook or something. Keep in mind that having reminders is different than doing reality checks on a schedule, because you won't be on your schedule when your dreaming, and therefore you won't do reality checks.

To keep motivated and in the lucid dream mood I listen to the DreamViews podcasts and read threads on here related to lucid dreaming. I also read people's dream journals, Hyu's dream journal is one that's really good for motivation. And like JadeGreen said, thinking up cool or fun things to do in lucid dreams can be fun and good for motivation.

I also have a problem remembering to RC, I like JadeGreen's advice. I RC whenever I see something strange or am thinking about dreaming. I've also heard people recommend reality checking whenever you walk through a doorway or something similar.

I'll have to listen to the GetLucid podcasts, I hadn't heard of it before, so thanks!

It helps to have a goal in your mind. For me I like to make up experiments for myself and try to push myself to do things I haven't tried before.
