What lucid dreaming technique has the best results?

Two weeks ago I started practicing reality checks and the MILD technique in order to achieve a lucid dream. I have achieve two beginner level lucid dreams. They were both short and not very detailed. I know that in order to better my recall and lucidity I will need to give it time, but I would like a question answered. Averagely what technique has the best results and what are the results? Is it possible for me to advance to a level where I have vivid lucid dreams every night and if yes, how would I do that?

The technique I use that has provided the most results is SSILD, or Senses Initiated Lucid Dream. Simple, easy to use, and quite effective.

Two lucid dreams in two weeks is not a bad effort to start out. As a side note some users on this forum experience very regular lucid dreams using the same method as you.
To help with clarity you should focus some of your attention on dream stabilization.

This is very similar to the way I induced my first (and only :() lucid dream. I thought it was just a random fluke, but maybe its worth another attempt.

For me, I mainly practiced with WILD. I seen it as a way for me to be allowed to bypass all of the what ifs people experience when attempting Dilds and any dream induction that mainly relies on RC's, and all that good stuff. I dunno, I'm impatient. I needed to see some steady results towards lucidity as my dreaming had sort of reached an apex. This worked well for me, however there were always a couple problems with it. For instance, one would be the inability of me to completely immerse and loose contact with my physical body repeatedly, though I could achieve a lucid state for about 5-10 min per night.

Now, since I have weaned off my brush with wilding for a bit, I am aming to consistently achieve lucidity through DILD's. I've been working with RC techs and all that follows to better my chances in achieving this goal. May not be the best form of induction for me, but we can only find out through some trial and error, right?

that being said, my advice to you; really try and experiment with all techniques and give each one a good amount of trial time. Thus, you are allowing yourself you find YOUR golden technique.

WILD GENERALLY is the most successful throughout the community. Though, it's generally personal.

I think that's THE KEY! No matter what technique(s) you decide on, the most important things are: 1) Enjoying the technique you try out and actually willing it to work and 2) being patient. Many people tend to change techniques after a few days because they assume that it's not working. Of course there might be techniques that can get extremly fast results, but it usually doesn't work like that which is why many people get demotivated quickly. Just have fun and keep at it! Enjoying one´s technique is very important, but very hard to do ( at least for me ), specially for DILD techniques, because not knowing how they are supposed to work at the fundamental level, leaves you with a feeling of disappointment whenever they fail, because you can´t figure out why they failed also.

Having said that, research has shown that the best techniques are WBTB+MILD, MILD+device and Tholey combined technique.

But of course, some of these studies are old and don´t account for some new techniques ( SSILD, CAT, FILD )..not to say that there are as many countless variations as there are lucid dreamers.

All too many, motivation is a pretty big thing when it comes to getting the ball rolling.

The essential thing is to train these fundamentals:

1.Self-awareness: SA is the most effective tool for both WILD and DILD. It is the key for WILD, and as for DILD, all pros use it and get that:"I just knew I was dreaming". SA is also the key for dream control. It is the most important aspect of self-awareness.

2. Memory: when you see something weird in a dream, you don't see it as weird not because you have low awareness(normal awareness, not self-awareness), but because your memory is impaired. So, self-awareness is a great way to activate the memory.
Also, prospective memory is important for WILDs and DILDs. You need to remember to stay conscious during WILD, and need it(prospective memory) to remember the intention you placed(MILD).

3.expectation/intention: Dreams are partially formed of our daily experiences, so you need to do things during the day hoping they would be part of the dream. That is called expectation. RC works, but I also do RRC. It is great for improving self-awareness. Intention is when you say you want to, for example,RC when you see a dreamsign that appears a lot in your dreams. Again prospective memory aids that, it is that.

See how they are connected with each other and form a strong unit that supports the whole LDing!? So, I personally do RRC, DJ, WBTB, MILD, WILD/DEILD. I hate other techs because they are only other forms of the same thing, and may get you lost and even hinder your progress. Plus, doing these is building your whole LDing future, since these are the essence of inducing lucidity and dream control. Plus, these are direct, accurate and work for all.

You might wonder why isn't everyone using these? Most do, but add other techs that promise fast LDs, but no real benefit for the fundamentals, plus they can hinder the fundamentals. The rest just feel lazy doing all of these or just started the first tech they heard of.

It varries from person to person.

For now, I would keep going with whatever works. 2 LDs in 2 weeks is extremely good. Get more LDs with this method to gain more experience.

Then, when you confidence is high, experiment with other BASIC methods. But don't stop practicing whatever gave you your first LDs. That way you keep your confidence high, even if it will take you a little bit of a time to have success with other techniques.

For some, DILD/MILD gives best results, for others WILD. But you don't have to pick just one. They are all happening at different time, so you can practice them all the same time, and theoretically have all of them on the same night, only at different times.

It will also depend on your lifestyle. If you don't have time for WBTB, which is essential for a WILD, you can concentrate on DILD/MILDs and DEILDs. If you have time for a nap, go for a WILD or DEILD, and DILD/MILDs are also frequent at naps. Good luck:alien:
