Lucid Dream, Followed By Sleep Paralysis?

To start, a few months back I experienced my 1st Sleep Paralysis. At the time I was in a deep sleep, lost in a a strong dream. It wasn't anything bad, just very descriptive and high in emotion. However towards the end I gained full ludicity, awareness if you will and by instinct just had to wake up. So I collapsed the dream focusing on waking up to find myself stuck in a brief moment of Sleep Paralysis. I was turned on my left side on the edge of my bed with one eye opened. I didn't panic too much, and I eventually managed to move by blinking my eyes repeatably. While straining to move before that though, it almost felt as though I was still dreaming as whenever I moved it felt sort of like my dream body was moving away, but I was still constrained to the bed. Still had that dreamy feeling. No hallucinations otherwise.
Now just recently I had another similar scenario, only this time was even stranger. I was sleeping late since I stayed up a while the night before, and I was lying in bed just thinking. That eventually led me to have sort of a half asleep/awake nightmares. Nothing mind boggingly frightening, just a bit of a startle is all. After that I dreamed I was still awake lying there, and while still under the impression of being awake I decided I would lucid dream. I managed to do so briefly back in 2009 or so when I was younger. Last time I just had this inner instinct that I could induce a lucid state, even though I was already in one without realizing it. Lol. I have the best luck of succeeding when I'm still partially awake in the morning after waking from a nightmare. So while I was asleep thinking I was awake, I focused real hard on a landscape to go to. Eventually I just ended up in this weird place, kind of like my room. I could almost feel myself in bed still, but I like stepped away and was walking beside it in circles. I can recall saying to myself something like "yeah I did it". It was a very uncomfortable feeling though and I didn't like it. It was lucid, but I really didn't have full control over surroundings. Was just in a dream version of my dark bedroom, and it didn't even really feel real at all. Just like an odd, unrealistic dream state. (No I don't think it was anything spiritual or OBE, just one of those weird floaty dreams you get in the morning) So I quickly managed to wake up, and I ended up in Sleep Paralysis again! No disturbing hallucinations as usual, and I quickly broke from it blinking my eyes. What made this so ironical too was I was again on my left side waking up. So there's almost a pattern with this all. At the same time I've also been having strange dreams lately too. Just random stuff, nothing horrible. It just seems like anytime I wake from a lucid dream, I find myself paralyzed. Also I don't practice lucid dreaming, just happens sometimes.
Not scared to sleep, or having bad night terrors. But I would like to know what I've experienced, and if anyone has had similar events before. Oh and I was lying on my back, which I don't normally do.

Many people would be jealous of what you have :P Waking up in sleep paralysis is a very great time to induce a lucid dream if one chooses. This just seems to be the way that your body reacts after waking up from a dream :) It is completely normal though.

I also experience this.
My childhood SP episodes were extremely terrifying, but since I became interested in LDing and I know what SP is, it isn't scary at all (despite the fact I started to have SP again - which is rather an advantage). A have had a few LDs originating from SP and I have had many LDs followed by a SP.

This happened to me, the LD then having SP. I have 2 extremely short LDs and I woke up in SP and managed to wiggle my way out

Hmm, well it would appear I have a very strong capacity to dream right now. I know I could lucid dream if I wanted most likely, I can almost feel it mentally in my head. I can't explain. Honestly it kind of scares me to do so though. Like my last lucid dream was kinda creepy. It just was this weird, dark version of my bedroom. But if I would have really tried, could I have eventually started to create landscapes and gain full control over the course of the dream? And also lately I've been mixing up my dreams with real thoughts. Lately dreaming just hits me really strong even before sleeping. I just have all these thoughts going in my head. So should I begin lucid exercises and see how it goes? Scared I'll get stuck in some nightmare, or weird place again. Hate waking into paralysis too. I have yet to hallucinate there, but it can still happen. Also say I did begin lucid dreaming, would it happen every night or mess with the course of how I sleep at night? Or does it require the mental focus each night to induce it?
If I do lucid dream, I would probably place something in my pocket as a reality check, then just allow myself to fall asleep as usual with deep mental focus that I will be dreaming and will control it with a landscape and setting in my head. Does that sound like a good idea? And can these lucid dreams turn out to be very frightening? I'm ADHD and have some history of anxiety in the family. I sometimes can't control some of my thoughts at times, and being I'd be in a dream anything I think of can become real to me. Can this happen, like the whole "bad trip" kind of situation when people are on drugs?
