Ever get "tired" from lucid dreaming and trying to lucid dream?

Usually I don't try to become lucid, I just let it happen naturally and if I have a lucid dream.... Hoooyaaa! If not, well no biggie. Lately, I have been trying to have more lucid dreams and it is definitely picking up. The problem is that I'm just sooo tired every morning. Since I have been a natural lucid dreamer since childhood, I don't know if this is just a side effect of trying more frequently (like 2 or 3 nights a week) or maybe not at all related. As a youth, I don't recall being this tired from LD's. Anyone have a similar happening or explanation?

I kinda find it odd that you wake up tired from LDing. Are your LDs really that draining? O.o
As a natural, I can say that I have never had the issue you explained.

However, people do end up burning out on LDing, or they can't keep it in their lives with the daily rush, which is what I see as being "too tired" to lucid dream. It happens to a lot of people, but it's not exactly what you are explaining.

same problem here. sometimes when i am lucid, i am bored to stay lucid and i try to wake myself up. during my first LDs, my head was near to smoke because of heavy mental activity. in my intention i like to have LD every night but in reality, when i have an LD, i hate to have it very soon again...because i feel tired of having another one...i kinda become full enough of it.....I thought it only happens for me but i see you have the same problem too. but trying to have LD is not boring for me and i like LD exercises more than LD itself.

Often after a very long or involved LD'ing session in the morning, I will tend to wake up feeling drained, even exhausted -- and will spend the day in a bit of a daze. But I think that was more a result of putting my mind and body through a couple of hours of rigorous activity than it was LD'ing disrupting my night's sleep. Aside from those really long sessions, though, my LD's generally have no effect on the quality of my nights' sleep.

It could be, Kadie, that you're just pushing a bit too hard; the induction of LD's can be a taxing business, sometimes... but it's the induction work that is taxing, and not the LD's themselves. That you never got tired when LD'ing as a kid sort of illustrates that LD's can certainly be a part of a good night's sleep.

Thanks Sageous. Im sure you are right. I never felt like this when JUST letting them come naturally, so it must be the induction time and trying that is taxing. However, I have used my current method before and not been so tired, so maybe it is just a combination of things going on IRL and IDL.
