Hello everyone! I really want to start having Lucid dreams but I'm a little worried about it. I know it sounds silly but is there any actual dangers of lucid dreaming? is there any tips to help get me into a controllable lucid dream and how to snap out of it?

There's no actual dangers to lucid dreams. They're the same dreams you've been having all your life, only you're aware what they are while they're happening.
Having a lucid dream is simple. You just fall asleep and wait until you're dreaming. At first, you'll probably won't be able to identify your dreams until you wake up from them but as your dream awareness and memory builds you'll be able to identify dreams while they're happening.
If you want to wake up from a dream, lie down and imagine yourself in your bed until you wake up.

Don't worry...staying IN the dream is the trick...your mind normally wakes up when you realize you are dreaming. Takes practice to hold them. At first they will likely be short...but once you get the taste you will be hooked!

First of all, keep in mind that movies like Inception are mostly science fiction, and are actually kind of inaccurate when it comes to real lucid dreaming.
Inception is cool and everything, but it is also to some degree guilty of creating misconceptions;
the most terrifying myth in Inception is probably the idea that you would "get stuck" in "dream limbo".
This is impossible, because lucid dreams are technically the exactly same thing as regular dreams, only with the difference that you understand that you are dreaming.
Except for that, everything is the same as it has always been, and you will wake up normally after sleeping for about 7-8 hours, like you have always done.
The secret in becoming lucid is basically to learn to become more aware of the dreamstate;
you can do that by for example deciding for yourself that you are going to recognize the dream for a dream the next time you are dreaming, and then keep telling that to yourself every night until it "sticks".
Also, dream recall is very important, so you should make sure to practice your ability to remember your dreams (most people do this by writing them down or voice recording them in as much detail as possible).
There are a lot of techniques that you can use, but they all have the same purpose - to make yourself more aware during the dreams so that you understand that they are dreams while you are still in them.
You should read on the topic as much as you can, learn a lot about it. There is very much information on the internet, but you should always check the information since there is so much b*llshit too on the internet about this subject. I would recommend buying a good book about lucid dreaming like our bible 'Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming' by Stephen LaBerge, or some newer books that focus on beginners like 'Are You Dreaming?' by Daniel Love. They also focus on the 'dangers' of lucid dreaming and other things you may be worried about. A forum like this is ofcourse also a great place to gather information and to ask people for help.
