MILD so far.
I'm pretty confident in using timers as well to WILD but I don't get as many opportunities to use them.
Auto-suggestion is my favorite. That's my most successful technique.
Hi all, i bang on and on about my favourite technique all the time
CanWild using RemDreamer
50 attempts = 50 lucid dreams and counting
Im still surprised that this is not the main technique that people use, its so easy
and I have tried every other form of ssild, mild, rild, wild that there is

Not successfully intentionally induced a LD yet but my nearest success was a WILD, can say it is my favorite already as it seems to be the most peaceful and challenging. I like the strange sensations I get as my body falls asleep leaving my consciousness behind in the void. Very theraputic.
My advice will always fall on deaf ears :-)
Getting lucid every night is easy. I only began lucid dreaming last April and now get lucid every night, its easy. BadAssLongCoat - search for CanWild for the basics then get a RemDreamer - job done

Great for you Ezzolucid! Really, I mean it, congratulations! But..... I really think you should be a more careful with what you say..... What works for you doesn't necessarily work for other people, on this forum you can read that experiences vary so much. I've read about people who spent money on a RemDreamer and threw it out later because it wakes them up every time!
WILD is my favourite. As it feels so rewarding when accomplished, plus all the sensations and only last night I was popping in and out of 5-6 dreamscapes in a WILD transition; in one of them i reached what looked like the asteroid belt in space, popped back out again and finally landed on a beach and stabilised the DREAM :)
Worth it each time.
My most successful is mild and mantras / auto suggestion. What's your favourite ?
So far the few lucids I've had were all unintentional! :( I want to try WILD but I'm so confused as to how to wake up at the right time so that it's successful... like how do you monitor your Rem cycles? I know people say 4-6 hours after you sleep would be the best time so do you just try different times in that 4-6 frame until you're successful?
That's the advice that I've usually seen. Myself, I can't let an alarm go off because that wakes up my husband. Instead I make sure to drink so much water, or tea before going to bed that I wake up during the night to go to the toilet. When I wake up, at 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 o'clock, I either remember a dream, or "feel" that I was dreaming, or not.... In the first two cases I'm sure that I was in REM-sleep. Most of the time I go to the toilet and stay up for a while, and then try WBTB. Sometimes I'm really too tired and just go back to sleep. It's really "Trial and error"!
Ooops, I guess your right about that, for these methods you have to wake up first....
But what was actually more important in what I wanted to share is that a method that works perfectly for one person, might do a lot less for another, so be aware of that if you're going to spend money!
I use my natural wake up times during the night, when it's crossed the 4-5 Hour mark, I will get up for a WBTB and will then return to bed for a peaceful, relaxed, passively vigilant transition to the WILD.
Sometimes it's trial and error and I fall asleep and I get lucid with a dild.
But I always try a WILD after WBTB , using natural wake up cycles. I don't monitor. I stay relaxed.
Hope that helps :)
I think that might be because it sounds so easy, and like most easy/simple things in life humans tend to over complicate things haha.
I guess I could find this out by trying it, but do you feel less rested using this method? Because I work illicitly long hours at work and being tired even slightly can kill a whole day of productivity.
I will take a look into this though when I go on break today.
Phwoar, the price on that seems a little steep haha and I'm not sure how I would feel sleeping with something over my face.
I want to Lucid, but I can't really see any need to spend money on something when I can develop a skill to do the same thing but that's my personal opinion.
Thats correct. But when usual methods need months of effort to get some random lucid now and then and someone reports 50 lucid in 50 trials... then I think it worths a try to see if it works for you as well, even not so good - provided you have a RD...
Actually almost every LD induction technique requires some sleep sacrifice and you end up either slightly or very tired the next day. Can-Wild is on the slight sleep disrupting side...
Of course you can. But it will take a lot of time and effort and lots of disappointments before you master some technique - if you ever will.
On the other hand, if this indeed works as ezzolucid says, then it is super easy, quick and with almost guaranteed success - with only 2 drawbacks:
1. Uncomfy mask on your face (aurora or another device might fix that)
2. Disruption of induced LDs every 5minutes (as lights keep flashing every 5mins when in REM). But I hope this will be fixed in a firmware update or another device.
As for investing for something with uncertain results, I agree, its not wise. People who already own a RemDreamer should try first, and if lots of them report success, then let everyone else know. For now, I am trying for myself. If I succeed, I will create a 'test the technique thread for RD owners".
Anyone make use of FILD?
What I find strange is that the maker of all these dream masks say that the aim in to incorporate the lights into your dream to act as a dream sign, so during the day perform a reality check to anything that is bright or a light source and then during a dream when the lights flash you will recognize the dream sign and become lucid
This to me makes no sense, sure it will work now and again but these masks are moderatley ok at incorporating lights into a dream BUT .. they are much much better as a DEILD tool with built in REM detection
They makers of these masks never put this forward in their marketing, even the RemDreamer only mentions deild right as the back of their instruction manual
Given the right situation a deild is effortless and it dosnt matter what you do in that period when you are briefly awakened ... so long as you keep still and are in rem then you are going to enter lucidity
Some people in that brief awakening will do Reguga techniques, some people grab the last scene of their dream, me I simply look at the back of my eyelids and see what happens. From my experience if a visualization is used then you will slip into that dream to some extent but if no particular visulization is used then your brain does not have the chance to create a dreamscape before falling asleep and so will use your bedroom as a starting point ( Some people call this an OBE but for me its simply a lucid dream that starts in my bedroom)
As for the cost of a RemDreamer, its not thaaaaaaaaaaaaat much. Save £1 per week, if it dont work out then put it on eBay and get some money back

Ezzolucid, your last message seems more balanced to me :)
I'd love to have great results quickly but don't want to spend money. So I hope to make "a slow but steady progress", and if not.... it's just not for me!
Enjoy your (lucid) dreams
Sorry to double post but my phone won't let me esit for some reason.
I actually wanted to edit in an apology for taking the thread off-topic haha. But I maintain that so far my favorite technique is still WILD and I think it will be what I stick to.
