What's your favorite technique to use when LDing? Also, is that your most successful technique? If not, then what technique have you had the most success with overall? |

Auto-suggestion is my favorite. That's my most successful technique. |
Hi all, i bang on and on about my favourite technique all the time |

The Biggest Risk in Life is to Never Take One
Not successfully intentionally induced a LD yet but my nearest success was a WILD, can say it is my favorite already as it seems to be the most peaceful and challenging. I like the strange sensations I get as my body falls asleep leaving my consciousness behind in the void. Very theraputic. |

My advice will always fall on deaf ears :-) |

Great for you Ezzolucid! Really, I mean it, congratulations! But..... I really think you should be a more careful with what you say..... What works for you doesn't necessarily work for other people, on this forum you can read that experiences vary so much. I've read about people who spent money on a RemDreamer and threw it out later because it wakes them up every time! |
WILD is my favourite. As it feels so rewarding when accomplished, plus all the sensations and only last night I was popping in and out of 5-6 dreamscapes in a WILD transition; in one of them i reached what looked like the asteroid belt in space, popped back out again and finally landed on a beach and stabilised the DREAM |
So far the few lucids I've had were all unintentional! |
That's the advice that I've usually seen. Myself, I can't let an alarm go off because that wakes up my husband. Instead I make sure to drink so much water, or tea before going to bed that I wake up during the night to go to the toilet. When I wake up, at 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 o'clock, I either remember a dream, or "feel" that I was dreaming, or not.... In the first two cases I'm sure that I was in REM-sleep. Most of the time I go to the toilet and stay up for a while, and then try WBTB. Sometimes I'm really too tired and just go back to sleep. It's really "Trial and error"! |

"...what we experience is our model of reality, not reality itself. Perception is dreaming constrained by sensory input. So it’s a constrained dream, whereas dreaming is perception free of constraint. What exactly is the difference experientially between the dream and waking state? And you see, it’s the same stuff. It’s all illusion! "Stephen LaBerge
Ooops, I guess your right about that, for these methods you have to wake up first.... |
I use my natural wake up times during the night, when it's crossed the 4-5 Hour mark, I will get up for a WBTB and will then return to bed for a peaceful, relaxed, passively vigilant transition to the WILD. |
I think that might be because it sounds so easy, and like most easy/simple things in life humans tend to over complicate things haha. |
Phwoar, the price on that seems a little steep haha and I'm not sure how I would feel sleeping with something over my face. |
Thats correct. But when usual methods need months of effort to get some random lucid now and then and someone reports 50 lucid in 50 trials... then I think it worths a try to see if it works for you as well, even not so good - provided you have a RD... |

Anyone make use of FILD? |
What I find strange is that the maker of all these dream masks say that the aim in to incorporate the lights into your dream to act as a dream sign, so during the day perform a reality check to anything that is bright or a light source and then during a dream when the lights flash you will recognize the dream sign and become lucid |
