DreamViews Buddy Program - Buddy Search Thread

Greetings! Your friendly neighborhood spellbee here. First I wanted to thank everyone who made the Buddy Program a success. It’s hard to believe it’s been going fairly strong for over a year, and from what I’ve heard, it’s been incredibly helpful for a lot of members.

Unfortunately, as many of you have no doubt noticed, I have been suuuuuper late on posting the buddies the past few months. And thanks to my new full time job, I can kinda foresee that it’ll potentially be getting later and later each month (to the point where I’ll be putting up July’s buddies in November). I apologize greatly to anyone I have inconvenienced with my tardiness, but the way the Buddy Program is now, there’s just a lot of overhead and time-consuming stuff to make sure each month’s buddies get done right.

So I’m hoping to remedy that with a little bit of a format change. Here’s how it works.

1. First things first, if you’re looking for a buddy, make a post in this thread. Put a little bit about yourself, like:
   - Average lucidity rate
   - What got you interested in lucid dreaming
   - Some of your current dream goals
   - Any other info you think might be interesting for people to know about you
2. After posting your info, if you see someone that’s already posted that you would like to be buddies with, send them a PM (click on their username, and then click Private Message) saying you want to be their buddy. Or, you can wait for someone PM you (though I’d advise making the first move if you don’t hear anything back after a few days).
3. If you a receive a PM from a potential buddy and you accept, congratulations! You now have a buddy! The two of you can share recent dreams, current lucidity methods, etc.
4. You can have more than one buddy if you would like, but if you are satisfied with your buddy and don’t want to receive any more PMs about your post, send me a PM with a link to the post you would like to remove, and I can delete it for you.

This method is fairly experimental, so there might be a few changes over the next few weeks/months. There’s also a chance it might be a complete flop and we’ll just go back to the old method. But ultimately I think this will work pretty well, because:

• Quicker turnaround time. Instead of applying and then waiting 2 weeks (or more) for the new buddies, this process will be pretty much instant – as soon as you hear a response, you can start doing your buddy stuff.
• Unlike the previous method, brand new members are welcome. The old one-month minimum was to prevent problem arising from some new members using the forums for a day or two, and then disappearing forever, leaving their buddies all forgotten, cold and alone. But I don’t foresee that happening, mainly because of the quicker turnaround time I just mentioned.
• Less work for me, which I am the most thrilled about. Just being honest.

Hi there, folks! I'm Shabby. I'm 18 years old and currently live in the UK. I am very passionate about arts and creativity and am therefore also currently attending art school.
Dreams and stories are huge inspirations to me, and that's the main reason I attempt lucid dreaming. The reason I got into it was seeing the movie Inception, which has become my favorite movie ever.
My lucidity rate is not very high at the moment, since I've been working my way back into this after starting school, etc. I am actively working on increasing it, though, and am seeing some good progress. I'm hoping to break my current dry spell very soon.

I'm looking for a dream buddy with similar creative-y interests. I personally think it'd be easiest to communicate through Skype or Discord or something similar.
I'm stoked, I think having a dream buddy is going to help greatly!

This is working out great! TheAnachronist and I are buddies now, and it's been incredibly helpful. We both broke our dry spells in the first week. I have discovered a whole new level of motivation by sharing with another dreamer.

:rallysmile: I highly recommend finding a person who "gets you" but who also brings a different aspect to the relationship for a broad range of topics. The Buddy Program has helped us a whole lot. So I'd say yes I definitely agree Nebulus & I are official buddies in the Buddy Program.

Hey I'm new to DreamViews I have had around 5 lucid dreams so far and more to come hopefully. I saw the movie Inception last summer and I instantly wanted to lucid dream. Although I didn't fully commit till summer started this year. I think finding another oneironaut (dreamer) to talk to would keep my interest peaked because I haven't got much support from family and friends alike. Hope to talk to someone soon✌️

Hi, Im new to lucid dreaming (1 month) and I think a buddy would help motivate me and keep me focused on LDing. I have had 4 LDs, ranging from a few seconds to a few minutes long. Some of my interests are psychology, art, extreme sports, and sleep. Im also from the US. Some of my goals for LDing is to enter a mirror world, live the movie inception, fly into space, and have a conversation with my subconscious. All of my LDs have been DILDs so far, but im working on WILDing (unsuccessfully). Also, I want a buddy who is able to keep in touch with me a few times a week and is serious about LDing.

Not completely new to lucid dreaming, but still haven't had a lucid dream yet. Started 2 years ago then had to take a break because of a family situation & I couldn't devote enough time to it. Started again recently & have had a few dreams where I asked myself if I was dreaming & had a FA. When I started a few years ago, I had some dreams when I did a reality check & it definitely proved it wasn't reality, but still didn't become lucid. I'm having difficulty connecting dream signs & reality checks to lucidity. I'm not sure how to make that connection. I don't remember how I found out about LD, but I've always been fascinated by how the mind works (studied psychology in college because of this). I guess I'm getting frustrated now because recently when I did a reality check, my brother who was visiting asked what I was doing. When I told him, he looked at me like I was crazy, but after talking about it in more depth, he told me he knows he's dreaming a lot of times. I got really upset because he didn't even know what LD is & doesn't study it like I have been & he can have LDs just like that! I think I keep that in my head & I've been getting discouraged every morning when I wake up & haven't had a LD. Right now my goal is just to be able to have one ��

the buddy concept sounds very interesting, so I hope that I'll find one :)
I have been doing a lot of LD practice 3-4 years ago and achieved quite a high success rate. Also my dream journal from that time contains 2-3 dreams per night. Then professional and private life got in the way of further practice and now my if I'm lucky my journal has one entry per week...
So I'm trying to get back in the game, since I also remember that in my waking life I was much more balanced during my intense LD time. I live in Austria and guess it might be good to find someone within roughly the same time zone.

Average lucidity rate
As of right now like... 2 to 3 lucids a week (if something isn't messing up my sleep schedule :P). I've had many LDs before. The "LD Count" on my profile here isn't meant to represent my total LDs ever... just since joining DV, because I hadn't ever really counted before. So I wouldn't consider myself a Beginner but I'm far from being Advanced.

What got you interested in lucid dreaming
I've had a lot of fun LDing as a child without knowing what it was. But it was very on and off, and not consistent. Now I'm working on making it more consistent and strengthening my technique, with all the information that's out there. I'm interested in getting good at LDing to learn more about my own psychology, resolve psychological issues, strengthen willpower, strengthen personal agency, unlock more creativity, and of course, have fun!

Some of your current dream goals
Resolve interpersonal conflicts with some DCs, work on mastering superpowers, work on having better dream control, meet and interact with cool DCs (celebrities, mostly kpop idols, and fictional characters), go to cool places, do ridiculous things, go to sick concerts and raves, secure my rightful position as God of my dreamworld... those are some of my current goals.

One time I dreamed I ate a whole stick of deodorant.

I don't have many lucid dreams, usually 2-3 a month, mostly spontaneous, although I hope that number will increase soon :D

- What got you interested in lucid dreaming

Definitely my love for epic fiction. When I started with LDing in high school, I was playing video games, and read books too, so I wanted to explore those worlds in my dreams. Later, when I got on Psychology studies, I thought of lucid dreaming as a means of personal growth as well. But still mostly for fun :D

- Some of your current dream goals

- Any other info you think might be interesting for people to know about you

Hmmmm, I already said I study psychology (getting my BA next month). Beside BA studies, I also go on psychotherapy education and body language course. Because of scientific interest in the topic of lucid dreaming, I basically read all the most important articles. And a lot of DV materials as well. I love books, I am huge fan on Wheel of time series. My hobbies are: lucid dreaming ( xD ), reading, going to the gym, etc.

So, I already have the experience of budding up with someone, but I would like to pair up with someone who lives in a close time zone (I live in Spain).

About my average lucidity rate. I just recently broke my three-month long dry spell. This last year has been crazy busy and I took a break from lucid dreaming, although I kept having some spontaneous lucid dreams. I regained my practice when summer began, but I didn't have any lucid dreams during those three months. Since I broke my dry spell three weeks ago, I've had four lucid dreams. We'll see if I can keep up with this frequency from now on.

I got into lucid dreaming because of a picture I saw on Fb over three years ago and I started doing my research, reading books, signing up here and getting my own dream journal started.

As for my goals, I don't have a very specific set of goals right now, but I would like to find my dream guide and I would like to ask questions to the dream and see how it responds.

So yeah, that's pretty much it. If anyone's interested (again, preferrably it would be someone from Europe or nearby), send me a PM :)

Hi everyone, took a break from the forums but I'm back now!

I've been LDing now for 10-12 years. I started LDing when I was 5-7 years old because of nightmares and I never forgot how to do it. In a 17yo male from Canada and was looking for a buddy because I lacked modivation. I can help any beginners, work with any intermediates or maybe learn something new. I have a LD every other day on weekdays but always have LDs on weekends that can span an hour.

My current goal is to master WILD. My primary methods are DiLD and WBTB. Please pm me if you would like to pair up.

Well I'm that kind of person who expend lot of time thinking about everything, my mom always insist that I have to read a lot so I start to read as crazy as kid so my imagination was really important for me and I always want a place where I can create my stuff even my own world and that was when dreams get my attention as my mom always was talking about the mind and how we can do a lot of stuff. So I always have that curiosity but I never push myself enough.

Well my top goal is have at least one lucid dream hahah but I think I will like to go to at least 3 dreams at week after that I don't have a clue :/

Hello! I've been lucid dreaming for over 10 years. I have great dream recall but having some trouble getting lucid, mostly due to lack of motivation. I think having a buddy would be great for motivation and just having someone to learn from as well. I use to have a LD teacher and just talking to him would get me lucid. I have different resons for this, mostlly spiritual ( I am a really spiritual person into New Age stuff and Ritual Magic) healing (I'm reiki master and know a lot about healiing, would be awesome to do it in an LD) And also the pure fun and excitement of being lucid thrills me! Average lucidity rate

I started lucid dreaming 9 years ago but I have just recently started to actively practice again and have had 7 LDs since October 31st, so I am having over 1/week.

What got you interested in lucid dreaming

I don't remember how I came upon lucid dreaming. I spent a lot of time on the Internet as a preteen and I thought lucid dreaming was a "dream come true", because I was always reading and fantasizing about everything like magic and dragons. I was a really shy kid so I think it was an escapism thing as well.

Some of your current dream goals

I decided to post in this thread after completing one of the Tasks of the Month, which makes me feel a little more confident. I think I'm just going to work on those tasks for now, and if I complete them all I'll look for stuff to do in the past months. It's a little late for the Task of the Year but I'll be working on the next one when it begins. Would love to have a buddy who is also doing the tasks so we can work on them together!

Nothing too interesting about me! I'm 21 and a nursing student. I work as a server at a popular chain restaurant. I like yoga, hiking and vegetarian cooking (not that I'm very good at any of the above). I guess I would like to have a buddy around my age but other than that I don't care about time zone or anything, I'm sure we will find time to communicate. I've only had one lucid dream so far and it was in late august or maybe September. It only lasted 10 seconds because I woke up.

What got me interested

I read an article online and it said I could escape everyday stress
Being me suffering from bullying online and in reality I was like "this is my chance to escape!"

Current goals

To have multiple dreams a week, like the user posted above me (zombunny) via WILD since the only lucid dream I've had was via WILD. (It was during a nap and I didn't even try? It seems when I try nothing happens and when I don't try nothing happens so that was luck!)

I'm rather new to this site, and literally only found out about it, through the lucid dreaming subreddit, but this sounds intriguing.

I'm 15 year old guy from the UK, who's only recently became interested in lucid dreaming recently, as not only are my dreams rather boring, I just dont remember many.

I'm an aspiring to be an artist, and am still practising, though I'm quite bad, I'm into games, anime (especially JoJo) and many other things.

Lucidy rate is VERY low, I dont even remember the last time I had one, which is why I'm here to find someone with similar interests, who I can talk about LDing to, "skill level" I'm not really one to mind.

Current goals are to actually gain lucidity, and a consistent rate, then to be able to take control of the dream itsself.

Only other thing to know about, is that I can be rather nervous, and I will only be contacting through skype, discord, or possibly steam.

I've been interested in Lucid Dreaming since my 10th grade year in high school and I am a freshman in college now so that is a while. I am just now putting in all the work that is required to actually have a lucid dream. And that's how I found this website actually lol.

I have only had about 2 lucid dreams. The first one lasted like 4 seconds and the 2nd one was a little bit longer.

My main goal is to have LD everyday for an entire week and live out all the things I've wanted to do for forever now.

I recently got back into it after realizing I was missing out on so many good dreams by not journalling them.
Now I'm looking for a buddy to share some experiences and ideas with for that extra motivational push!
My main dreamgoal at the moment is to simply improve dream recall, to have some solid foundation to build on.

In a nutshell: I'm looking for someone who wants to get in touch every two or three days, preferably a (re-)beginner like me :)

Hi, I'm 46 years old, male, from Texas, USA. I'm big into metaphysics and have lots of experience and success in creative visualization and self-hypnosis. My LD count is definitely picking up, but nowhere near consistent. I've had 3 so far this month (Jan. 16, 2017) - so, 3 in roughly two weeks. But I'd like to increase the frequency to maybe 3 or 4 a week. I think having a dream buddy would be a great way to supercharge the subconscious for this goal. I am also greatly interested in Astral Travel, and in particular exploring the possibilities of using LDs as launching pads for APs. Btw, I also have excellent non-lucid dream recall -- sometimes up to 3 nightly in full detail. I update my DJ here daily: I take my dreams very seriously and document them with avid interest. I also look into their interpretations. So, please, only a mature and serious oneironaut need apply. Thanks! Sweet dreams! And Happy Lucidity!

Hey, I'm still kind of a beginner, but I want to get a buddy that can help me out in al this LDing stuff.

Avarage lucidity rate:
When I started out, about only 20% (?) of my dreams were lucid, now though, I've gotten way better at detecting dreams. Maybe about 60%^of my dreams are lucid now, which is a great improvement. At least if you ask me.

What got me intrested in lucid dreaming:
I just randomly found an article on lucid dreaming a few months ago and I thought "Wait, you can control your dreams??", and boom. I became really intrested in lucid dreaming.

Some of my current dream goals:
-Gotta enter the universe of a game or a book or something so I can meet some of my favorite characters.
-Gotta be able to fly around all over the place.
-Gotta have some sort of dream fight. Super powers and all of that.

Some other info:
The only thing that I think is intresting about me is that I'm part of a lot of fandom. Be it anime, games, TV shows. Stuff like that.

I'm 23, looking for a dream buddy. I find it easier to lucid dream when I talk about it, and also it keeps my motivation up. I've learned how to fly, create fire from hands, telekineses, summon dream characters. I am currently trying to get back to where I was.

Average Lucidity - About twice a week when I'm at my highest motivation.
How I Got Interested - Actually randomly googled if "controlling dreams were possible"
Dream Goals - I want to be able to explore different worlds, teleporting, perform superpowers, etc.
Other Info - I'm a huge UFC fan, I collect retro video games, movies, anime.

It is not a replacement for the Buddy Program but an extra option for those wanting to step-up their lucid dreaming journey. It can be used as a way to hold you accountable to your goals and to keep track of what is working and what is not working while getting feedback. I run the DILD workbooks and prefer to work with people who are willing to put in the significant effort typically required to do well with lucid dreaming.

I joined dv recently (I introduced myself with a thread in the introduction section)
and stumbled upon this program just now.
Im not new to the concept of a DJ, techniques and lucid dreams but I would consider myself a rookie with the appliance of these things.

I would love to have someone to share dreams/experiences with and grow in terms of dream recall and dream control.

I recall 2-5 mostly large dream fragments (still working on remembering a dream from start to finish) and had around 6-10 lucid dreams so far. I think...lol

I like animes, video games and cooking although university is keeping me quite busy atm ._.

Since I started becoming every involved with LD, joined a forum, kept a dream journal, about 2 weeks ago I have had 6 lucid dreams. Mostly I lie in bed in the morning after waking and enter lucid dreams directly, although I want to master WILDing so I can expect LDs and have a plan of what to do in them.

What got you interested
I was reading an experienced Lucid Dreamers website and became very interested after reading her awesome dream journeys.

My goals
My current goal is to be able to enter an interesting dreamscape when I have lucid dreams. My long-term goal is to master WILDing so I can gain lucidity on demand and fulfill a pre-planned lucid adventure.

Something interesting is that I am straight but I seem to be attracted to female dream figures in my dream world. Maybe I will ask my inner self what the heck is up with that once I get pretty good at dream control.

I would like a dreamwork buddy. I want to study my subconscious and see more about myself and divine visions (dreams) telling me about who I am, what I need to know, and psychic dreams. I used to have a lot of lucid dreams but it stopped for a long while and I had one a week and a half ago. Usually I have NILDs (Nightmare induced lucid dreams). It's a nightmare and God is good and He would never let it happen, so I decide that I'm 99.999% sure it's a dream. I had a series of dreams about being stuck on a highway and I once took 2 busses to a gymnastics gym and was on a highway and I don't think that was a dream, and I was lost eventually I found the gym, and then called the cops and they helped me get home. So that's why I had those dreams. I've been trying WILD but it's not working so I am going to work on a dream journal and dream induction (Ask a question, meditate about it, and wait for a series of dreams with God's answers as well as ideas from my heart). Once I know more dream patterns and signs hopefully I will have peaceful lucid dreams. Would love to have a friend to discuss this with. :)

Hi, I think my lucid rate is 15% though it used to be higher. I started becoming interested in my dreams when I went to college. I am a Christian and I believe a lot of dreams come from God and some come from parts of your psyche and some are psychic dreams and shared dreams. I've been doing reality checks, and have had dreams where I did reality checks and decided it's not a dream when it was. I've jumped off high things in dreams and it felt really real and I felt strong. Some things about me: I am a writer (I want to write a book based on my dreams called "Book of Dreams") and am writing Beautiful Madness and Strays. I am a Christian. I am a poet. I am a dancer and a gymnast and a martial artist. I am looking for a friend to discuss dreams with and to have tips on ways to improve dream recall and incubate stronger vivid dreams with more colors and feelings and to have more lucid dreams. I've been trying WILD for a few weeks and I start to go into deep sleep and I'm fully aware of sleep but I end up letting go before dreams, it takes too much time for REM sleep to come. I need more friends.

Hi, I am a 15 year old in the United States. I've had about 4-5 lucid dreams so far and it would be nice to have a buddy. Hi Charles. You are right as far as this thread and probably in general on the site, but I would say the most active users are probably closer to your age range and older. I am not far off from a few decades older.

I’m 18 years old and remeber trying the buddy program a few years ago, worked really well. I have been on and off with lucid dreaming since 13 so know a bit. Haven’t really gotten back into it in the past 2 years though. Looking for someone who can help motivate and share experience with.
I’m a student in my final year. Learnt about lucid dreaming when I was younger because I have always loved all mystical things related and I developed my own method composed of other techniques. Would love to have a buddy so anyone looking pm me :)

yo everyone, I'm 19 years old and my lucidity rate is only 15% (around 150 LD's) across ~1,000 recorded dreams, but I consider myself quite skilled. What got my into lucid dreaming was trying to get rid of flooding and monster nightmares. Some of my current goals are: Paint a town, go to a neon city, ride a dragon. Hello everyone, Haven't been on here in awhile, and looking for another Dream Buddy, if anyone is interested. Let me know!

Looking for a dream buddy. I’ve been interested in lucid dreams and dreams in general for maybe 20 years ( in my 40s now). I was very motivated 2.5 years ago and averaged 2 LDs a week for 2 years. Ive gotten somewhat lazy recently when getting up to do WBTB and as a result am not having as many LDs. Most of my LDs are dream induced but I’d like to have more WILDs. I’ve had a handful. I usually just fall asleep. I’m interested in exploring consciousness, dream characters, asking for advise and about the nature of reality in the dream, and spiritual things. I’m somewhat undecided on whether I believe LDs are all in our heads. I’d love an open minded dream buddy who I can motivate and vise versa. I’d love to try various experiments and compare results.

I’m a 20 year old female and I’ve been into LD for about 7 years, since I had a spontaneous one and loved it but didn’t really research it until one night months later I think, when i decided to google it and I found a whole bunch of websites and info. I went through phases of just a couple months at a time of actively focusing and trying to induce LDs. I often didn’t achieve a very high level of lucidity and most of the time I disappointed myself by not doing very exciting things or not succeeding at the tasks I tried to complete.
I use usually DILD or DEILD but I’d like to maybe start trying other methods I’ve been apprehensive to try in the past, like WBTB (I don’t like waking up in the middle of the night lol, and I often have trouble getting back to sleep especially if I’m attempting to LD because I think and try too hard). If I could get a buddy I’d be interested in trying what works for them and receiving advice and ideas especially if they’re more experienced than I am.
Current dream goals are to complete a ToTM, and also some other little things like having a conversation with [insert celebrity here] and getting advice on some things in my life. Also, stealing a baby, wanna try that...
At the moment I’m still practising getting my frequency of LDs up so they’re happening less often than once a week currently but I hope within about a month I’ll be achieving at least once a week. Hopefully ����

Hi. I'm a 30 year old male. I really love music (World, Brazilian, Jazz, Ambient, New Age, etc.) and I play piano and guitar. I also like writing scripts/stories, and occasionally I paint. I'm looking for a dream buddy. I first got interested in lucid dreaming when I saw the movie Waking Life, over 10 years ago. I haven't had too much success with lucid dreaming, partly due to my unfocused and lazy nature. So it would be great to have a dream friend, where we can hopefully keep each other updated and what not, on a regular basis, and this would, I believe and hope, help motivate each other and keep the focus alive.
My lucid dreams have been few and far between, and they tend to be short and unsatisfactory. I hope to grow in this department. This department of lucid dreaming. I'm currently trying to go to bed earlier, but it's actually very difficult for me to do so.
WILDing is my ultimate goal. There are so many things I'd like to do and achieve in the dream world. Creative ideas, spiritual/mystical experiences, psychic advice and premonitions, personal growth, learning about myself, flying around, travelling through space, sex, etc. Im working on a script and I'd love to, not only watch the movie unfold on a screen and get new ideas that way, but also go inside of the movie, and experience it in the first person. That's one of the many things I'd like to do in the dreamworld.

Hi. I've been practicing lucid dreaming on and off for about 20 years now. I like the idea of having a dream buddy to bounce ideas off of and someone who would be interested in doing experiments. Some things I'd like to try is seeing if we can affect things in real life, meeting up in a shared dream, visiting exotic locations and just comparing notes on the things we find. I'm up for anything really, just looking for an adventurous spirit or some crazy ideas to try :)

Your average lucidity rate

Right now, none. I haven't made it a priority in recent years, but I'd like to get back into things. In the past, my lucidity takes a couple weeks to ramp up, and then I'll have them nearly every day for a few weeks. Eventually they die down, and I'll have to repeat the cycle, but I am hoping that by partnering up with someone the streaks will last longer.

What got you interested in lucid dreaming

I had a fascinating, out of body, experience in my younger years, and this lead me to research what happened. I came across lucid dreaming and become interested in that, as well as other esoteric things. I was also reading The Art of Dreaming around the same time.

Some of your current dream goals

I want to go beyond the usual flying/sex/battle dreams most people do and take a more "scientific" approach. I'd like to document what's possible, and see if we can discover something new together.

Hello everybody, I’ve finally decided to make this post. I am new to posting on the forum but have been a frequent visitor for quite some time now. I am interested in finding a lucid dreaming buddy who is familiar with the Mild technique, preferably someone who has had 50-100 or more lucid dreams. I’m not opposed to a beginner or an expert but we will see where this goes!

Lucidity rate
I’ve had 5 lucid dreams in 2019. 4 of those were low level where I couldn’t see or do much or have woken up immediately. I had a very vivid lucid dream one night when I tried an astral projection attempt but failed then went to sleep and became lucid and it was honestly so incredible! That experience motivates me to stick with the practice.

I’ve been interested in astral projection but after my lucid dream experience I’ve been pursuing that. I’ve tried lucid dreaming in past but never stuck with it. Just recently I’ve been reading about habits and how they shape our lives and help achieve goals, and it’s given me a new motivation to instill the proper lucid dreaming habits (ada, rc’s, dream journal and recall, prospective memory, visualization, meditation, affirmations etc...) I’ve been in my current lucid dream routine for a month now with only 1 lucid dream but I stuck it out and it’s only getting easier to do my routine, hopefully a buddy will help me to get the next level.

My lucid dreaming goals are find a buddy, continue my routine for another month, achieve a vivid lucid dream and stabilize it, test out flying and moving around in a dream without waking up.

Some back ground info about me I’m 24 years old, married with 2 kids, I live in Florida and I’m a painter/remodeler. Any other questions just ask!

I’m 3 months into lucid dreaming. I had a DILD 1 month in. Nothing since then. However I’ve had many mini victories, I’m Gradually exploring and getting the feel of different aspects of my dreams.
I want to get to the state where I’m having a few Lucids a week.

I’ve always thought LDing was cool but never knew it was a learned skill. I had always assumed it was a natural ability so when my Buddhist teacher took me through some dream yoga and recommended the book” dreams of Awakening” I was hooked.

When I next get Lucid. I want to:
• ask the dream world to help me become lucid quicker in the future.
• talk to a dream character.
• go flying again.
• walk through a wall.

Long term:
•I want to use the dream world to explore the full capability of my imagination/mind and reality.
• I’m a Buddhist so I want to expand my spiritual practice.
• I want to have fun and understand the nature of how my mind works.
•I’m interested in dream telepathy experiments.
• hoping to meet the consciousness behind the dream.

I am a Buddhist trying to expand my spirituality and understanding of my conciousness! I'm also an artist/ work in the film industry, a biggg nerd (think Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering) and very into the outdoors and travelling! Those are just some of the highlights, cause I have about a million interests and hobbies in addition to those.
I've had about 6 LDs on 3 occasions since quarantine started, and three of those actually happened last night. I do take a lot of supplements and try to use herbs and foods to improve my ability to lucid dream. I do a LOT of research on a LOT of topics (like chakras, dream yoga, science of dreaming, neuroscience, etc) so when I try new methods I like to be pretty methodical about recording my experiences to find what works best!
I used to smoke pot on a daily basis for a long time (several years) and quit SPECIFICALLY to improve my dream recall and vividness. If that tells you how dedicated I am to Lucid Dreaming.
My long term goals are to have access to my subconcious to hopefully be able to heal past emtional wounds, and improve my waking life through this. I also want to be able to travel and have fun in my dreams. I hope to have at least one LD a week, if not one a night within a year or two.

Lookin for a buddy here. My LD rate has been about one a week up until last week, when I had 2. So I'm gettin there! My dream goals are trying to stay in my dream for more than 10 minutes and to summon a person of choice. And of course to bring up my LD rate per week. I love talking about people's techniques and dreams so I would love to find a buddy! I know for a fact that talking with someone about your dreams immediately increases your chances of being lucid, cause of memory and motivation and all that good stuff. Hey all, I'm a beginner lucid dreamer and I'd love a lucid dreaming buddy to bounce ideas off of and to keep each other motivated (and to just chat about LD with). Average LDing rate is about once every two weeks, as I've only been at it for about 1.5 months. My current goal is just to work towards one lucid dream per night, hopefully by the end of the year, with as much vividness as possible.

i got into lucid dreaming after having a dream, where i was in a supermarket, realized i was dreaming, and started flying.
my average lucidity rate isnt that high at the moment.

I've been away.... I was getting pretty good a lucid dreaming and getting in a lot of lucid dreaming stuff. I had a podcast, I was doing a few experiments with budding scientists in sleep labs, meeting new people. Something happened. Lots of things happened. Life.

Anyway, I'm trying to get my excitement for it back. I have a lot of things going at once so it gets easy to forget. I guess I'm looking for someone to message me about lucid dreaming. Just saying "Hey do a RC" or "This is what I dreamed. What did you dream" I'm trying to get back into mindfulness and meditation but I forget haha. I've lost contact with several people that helped me in that area so I'm looking for more. I met all of them here but they don't seem to be around anymore. This is always an area that its hard to find people that are truly interested and care about it or even know about it. I can't go around preaching about lucid dreaming at work all the time. I do tell people about lucid dreams I have once in awhile but they just kind of go "hmm" and say nothing else about it. Part of the solution is to be more active on here but after awhile there's just a lot of repeat. I don't need to know how to lucid dream nor am I interested in finding a new tech. I'm just searching for motivation.

By the way I'm probably much older than most of you. I'm 40 and my oldest is 18. I don't care what age someone is as long as we can have interesting convos about lucid dreaming but it will be more appropriate if you are a little older.
