I find it a bit unusual, but not unbelievable. I have various sleeping disorders and I am only able to sleep past 10AM most days and am awake at night. Only times I can go to sleep earlier like 5AM or so is when I take my anxiety meds and melatonin together. Most people are limited by their sleep cycles. We don't sleep continuously. There are moments in the night (or day for those of us with DSPD) when we wake up. I read the dream you posted and in it you seem to have "slept" so it's possible the other half of the dream may have taken place at a later stage of sleep. There are fast and slow wave sleep stages. We usually dream during fast wave sleep. it is possible to dream in non-REM, but If we wake up in slow wave sleep we tend to be groggy. From the stuff I read from your posts you seem to go beyond the normal sleep stages and DSPD doesn't quite explain it as I to have a severe case of it. I go without sleep for days too, REM rebound could be a possible case if you go without sleep for a long time. I have experienced very lengthy REM stages because of REM rebound when I miss sleep for 3+ days or so. Sure sleep stages can be different for everyone, but it's very abnormal to have continuous fast wave sleep that lasts hours, like 6+ hours etc. I'm not asking you to explain yourself or saying you are confused, just pointing it out. I would very much like to experience 6+ hour lucids that are not time-dilated. On that note I'll like to add that I have gone to "sleep" multiple times in my time-dilated dreams.
I was talking about regular people, not people who evolved past human constraints like you. XD
Could you elaborate what VILAPD stands for? ^^
