Oh for the love of Pete.. YES you can dream when you are an adult. Goodness! I am "old" too apparently, at 32 and I dream like crazy. Heavens people, life isn't over when you get out of college. Yes you get busier, yes you have other distractions, but no your life doesn't come to a complete stop.
Keep dreaming!!
I'm 45 now, had my first LD in 1990, learned about it around 1981 or 1982
Hey Seeker, what the heck are those numbers at the bottom of your sig? I gather that it shows your illustrious career as an LDer, but how does one read it?
I'm 33 at the moment. My first LD was obtained at the age 27, whist reading Lucid Dreaming, on Sat/Sun, the 24th/25th of Feb, 2001: A little over 6 years now. I still remember the dream well. I'm the kind of person that would have started much earlier in life, had I only known it was even possible to do.
The friend who loaned me the book to read (I've long since gotten my own copy) told me about LDing and it got me very excited and interested.
25. I used to LD a lot as a child but that faded. Then at 22 I had a mega-LD that came out of nowhere and got me started all over again. Mastering the art now will most likely make it easier to LD when you get older. No worries.
mentally, I'm :lolxtreme:

I'm 11.
im 15 and started leanring about Ld's like 5 months ago..

ahaha
I first started to LD at about 13/14 I think, could have been a lot earier I'm sure, but never really thought about it since i thought LDs were natural part of sleeping and anyone could do it... It wasn't until about 6 months ago my flat mate was talking about it and I mentionned that I always LD and she said its amazing as people try this for years etc. Do decided to read up about it, found this forum, and really interested in new techniques etc to advance my LDs.
I'm 26 this year also...
I had my first LD at age 12 about, though I didn't become interested in it until much later.
I've had lucid dreams every so often pretty much as long as I can remember. I always thought they were cool and hoped to induce them, but I didn't know how to induce them.
Around last year, when I was fourteen, I discovered the wikipedia article on lucid dreaming, and tried to induce them, but I didn't try very hard, only got about three unimpressive ones over about a month, and sort of gave up for about a year. I still had a few randomly over that year, and after I stumbled upon something about lucid dreaming again after having a couple lucid dreams in a row, I decided to actively try lucid dreaming again, and joined Dream Views soon after. That was a couple months ago, and I was and am 15 years old.
I have been lucid dreaming my whole life, I am now 14 (almost 15).
17, found this forum and then got into lucid dreams when i was 16
Ooo, I may have already posted here, or maybe there was post like this not to long ago.
Anyway, I guess you can say that I've been lucid dreaming my whole life. But when I actually learned that it was called lucid dreaming and I actually started to study it I was 13. I'm currently 16 now.
IM 15 and i found out about LDs about 2 and a half months ago. Ive had five since then but i aint quitting. I do however wish i could have foud out about this a long long time ago...
I'm 3775 give or take a decade or so, but still feel like a kid! :bigteeth:
Hey, has anyone seen Carlos lately? I had another mind trip I wanted to lay on him!
I'm 26 now. I didn't actually know there was technical names for all this stuff, like "lucid dreaming" until I found this site just yesterday. I didn't actively endeavour to lucid dream 3 years ago. Like I said, I didn't even know there was a term for it. I was more conditioned to do it thanks to that period when I had mental psychosis. Basically, I went completely and utterly insane for about 8 months. Lost complete touch with reality. Totally delusional, and one of those delusions being that the waking world is all a lie, and dreams are reality. With that in mind, you kind of make it a necessity to remain aware in dreams. I've dreamed heaps and heaps during my life but ever since the psychosis, I have had not one dreamless night. God, it'd be good to just have 1 night where I don't dream, or be aware of dreaming, or have a vivid dream, or lucid dream, or even remember having a dream. Bloody dreams.
