friend said "whats the point of lucid dreaming u dont acomplish any thing"
i said "whats the point of life u dont accoplish much in that any we ll all die some day"
so i wanted to no if u agree with me or with him:confused:
I don't agree with either of you particularly. Tell your friend that lucid dreaming can make you a better person. You can play out scenarios that are likely to occur in your life, and practice handling them better. Perhaps there is a coworker who emotionally abuses you, and you don't know how to handle it. Well instead of materializing a gun out of thin air and blowing their head off (which of course feels great), practice having a conversation with them, confront them.
As for life, that is one outlook, but do you really want to see life that way? Appreciate it! It's an amazing thing! You are alive! Without any "power source" per se, you are able to function, breath, move, create and most wonderfully...THINK. You have a brain. Of course we die one day. But you are here, and that's all that matters.
And of course you're capable of lucid dreaming, which is also marvelous. ;)

Man oh man, I went through this "accomplishment" stage a few months ago, and a friend of mine is going through it now. Life isn't about accomplishments. Listening to music, playing videogames, watching a movie...gaining knowledge...you're not "accomplishing" anything. You're just absorbing all this stuff into your mind. And that's what makes you who you are...your individuality is an accomplishment in itself.
Working for yourself and living a self-accomplishing, self-centered life is stressful and difficult. Make life better for those around you; enjoy it for yourself. Your "what's the point of life" comeback just brings forth more negative thoughts and grim outlooks on life. So I don't agree with either of you. Enjoy your life. Lucid dreaming can help you do that.

In lucid dreaming you don't accomplish anything? Well there are many things that you can accomplish in a lucid dream like abilities improving, practicing things, and since you are Lucid and Dreaming you are accomplishing more than someone who does not Lucid Dream while they are sleeping.
If you are awake it's the same things. Dreams and Reality are about 1 in the same, but the difference is Life takes top priority and you have to follow a path and the laws. Dreams are to have fun, life is also to have fun but you must also work.
