The last week or so i have noticed that lucid dreaming is messing up my thinking process because it's on my mind so much. For example i am thinking i am going to go have food but instead i think i am going to have lucid dreams, or i want to think i am going to watch some tv, but instead i think i am going to watch some reality checks.
It's happening alot. Anyone else?
Hmmm. That doesn't happen to me but I think that this means you should take a little break from thinking about lucid dreaming.
Nope, never happened to me either. I agree with Mes - take a break for a while.
Opposite happens with me. I used to be totally stressed out, a lot of the time actually, and since returning to LDing, I've become far calmer and less stressed.
Yeah you must be thinking about this WAY too much mate - Have a break, have a....
One of the big keys to LDing, I find, is not to overdo it or overthink it. Playing with your subconscious mind requires working with it, not against it. Take a nice break, do some meditation or something, and make LDs something that is easy- if it seems like a chore....
Yeh maybe i have been trying to hard and, i have been thinking of lucid dreams alllot. Before i didn't have to think about it much or do reality checks just go to bed with the intention to have a lucid and it would nearly almost result in one but now i can't get a lucid.
I haven't had a lucid in 9 days!!!!! This is really stressing me out.
I've had trouble with it in the past. I think it had more to do with messing with my sleeping patterns than with the dreams themselves.
I was sleeping for 3 hours max at a time, spaced evenly throughout the day with consistent artificial light always on. It's like you are always taking a nap, and always get REM rebound. I was also taking intense studio classes where I would occasionally go a day or two without any sleep.
Things get pretty strange pretty quick, especially when you start mixing in lucids. So may false wakeups, I often had trouble figuring out when I was really awake.
I went through that about 6 months ago when i didn't know whether i was awake or not, i was paranoid but thankfully that went away!Quote:
